HunchBluntley: ...So you're suggesting they just change their studio's name to "Bear"?

Hey, LazyBear, I'll happily buy this game here.
Under one condition.
You'll pay 1000$ fine (for each copy sold here, the community can pick charity) if you won't update it on pair with steam version within, let's say, two weeks from each other.
As soon as someone from your company will agree to this agreement I'll buy it. Until then; arr arr!

zlaywal: The game is $19.99 on gog while on steam I could get it at less than $10 with regional pricing not to mentioned a 25% off coupon that I received out of nowhere in my inventory. DRM free tax is steep.
DRM-free "tax" is always worth it. Honestly, I feel every game on this site is a bargain considering we are getting actual control over the product.

As an aside, though, look at this game description:
"Use all the resources you can find. After all, this is a game about the spirit of capitalism, and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business".
...Reads to me like "capitalism is evil", yet, $19.99 price?

Not buying game at the moment but thanks to GOG for getting this one. Not sure why Punch Club wouldn't be updated though.
The newspost link that's meant to go to this thread is broken.

Devs notorious for not supporting their software? And, on top of it, they admit right on their game page that this is an attempt at bitter satire about certain political ideologies?

I don't know, i believe that if you're going to push propaganda, you should at least make sure it's up to date.

EDIT: And the big one that they're noting is one that actually allows them to post the satire. Way to be hypocrites!

After all, this is a game about the spirit of capitalism, and doing whatever it takes to build a thriving business.

Face ethical dilemmas. Do you really want to spend money on that proper burger meat for the witch-burning festival, when you have so many resources lying around?
The game is a game about capitalism, but the very content (the stuff i didn't quote) is about being an evil mastermind? That's not even satire, that's just vindictive.

ChrisGamer300: Indeed, tell them to update their previous game or why should we trust them now and possibly waste even more money again.
Someone, somewhere once told me that we are responsible for creating our own reputation. Looks like Lazy Bear created theirs. Trust is very important to me. Thanks for the heads up! I added the game to my wishlist for now and I shall wait and see... Too bad, really. I loved the gameplay trailer!

Thank the one above me who was first to point it out.

I agree though and personally see no reason why i should buy a game LazyBear might just as well abandon in the future as they did with the first. People have complained a long time about Lazy Bear and many other developers who did this shit yet it all falls on deaf ears and they are allowed to release their next game while the previous remain ignored.

The worst thing is i can't even blame developers for thinking gamers are stupid considering all the denuvo, MTX and pre order scheme shit people buy into these days but one day more people will wake up hopefully and developers will bite off more than they can chew and perhaps then we'll see some change.

firstpastthepost: Seeing as how the developers abandoned Punch Club and refuse to patch the broken version on sale here I wouldn’t buy this here.
Thanks for bringing this matter out into the light! I added the game to my wishlist for now. ;) I prefer buying my games here on GOG. But, having said that, I also prefer buying from developers who respect the hand that feeds them.

To ChrisGamer300 > I'm still somewhat of a virgin when it comes to using the forums. Sorry about that. LOL! Originally, I wanted to thank the both of you, but I did not know how to quote two posters in one entry. Or if it's even possible.
'Lazy Bear Games' and 'tinyBuild' ... oh god ... When they release a patch for the broken 'Punch Club' here on Gog, then I will buy another game from them. In the meantime I will get new games from them on other "sites".

Life happened, all over the place. Still cleaning up after it.

But nothing to worry about bar a bug.

I'm not sure if i should be laughing hysterically at this or not, because i can't tell how serious you are about "life." It sounds like a bunch of crap went down, and all that, that in the end, a small bug that was easy to fix resulted out of this massive catastrophe. It's almost like you're saying "see, Bob's mother died of a drug overdose, causing bob himself to get into a car accident when he found out the news, and his girlfriend at the office started crying, which scared Thomas from it's suddenness, and when he flailed, he knocked over the cup of pencils on Jordan's desk which then fell and hit a key on the keyboard, when he just happened to be working on the php code that makes this happen, creating a bad pointer reference, but no one noticed, because control+S was hit and everyone was distracted by the news, thus causing this minor 1 letter typo that was easily fixed.

EDIT: of course, the story should be modified to sound a bit more polish in naming conventions.

tinyE: okay why am I the only one not getting a discount on Steam? :P
Maybe because you don't own "Punch Club" on Steam? Just a guess.
