victorchopin: Once a Playstation/later drm'ed exclusive... now it's here. The very second Xbox release here, also. I see tides shifting in our favor, guys.
I surely hope so.

avatar
wolfsite: Really hope Sony decides to release classic PC titles like Lemmings or the Psygnosis catalog.
That would be great indeed! Well, a man can dream...

avatar
SargonAelther: I'd love to see ... Drakan: Order of the Flame next!
Another interesting release, for sure.

WinterSnowfall: (…) How about treating every newer game as if it included telemetry and blocking its outbound traffic in your application-level firewall? It's become a bit of a pain to track who's being dishonest and who's not these days, so might as well have "zero trust". As long as no DRM is involved, nothing will prevent you from playing these games even if you cut off their call home tendrils.
Exactly. There is no reason to allow a single player game any network connection. There is also the issue that no one can be sure that the way DRM was removed by searching something on the internet – which seems to be the way some of the GOG releases are done – is really secure.

avatar
WinterSnowfall: Agreed this is up to the publisher/developer, not to digital retail stores.(…)
Don't agree here. The seller has a responsibility for the things that are sold – digitally or not.

Not interested in this one, but nice to see a lot of people happy! :)
Boys,
Are you able to scroll down the Language dropdown inside the Installation Popup in Galaxy?
Because I can't.

Edit: Solved. Thanks :)

Quite a big release I've to admit. Good stuff. I hope more PlayStation PC LLC stuff will follow soonish.
Nice! Finally!

This is a must-buy for me just like every other Sony release here! I hope to see more of their AAAs in the future, like:

- The Last of Us
- Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
- Spiderman
- Horizon Forbidden West
and so on :)

Because I can't.
Maybe try using arrow keys ( between right control and the numpad on average keyboard ).

Doesn't work.
I've sent the ticket to Support.
Dad of War. Instabuy! :)

Now that this finally got through, I'm hoping there's a still a good chance for more Sony titles, like...
Horizon: Forbidden West
Spider-Man
Ghost of Tsushima
Last of Us
etc...

In that order. ;)

What screen resolution do you have?
Does the dropdown menu continue beyond the bounds of the installer window itself?
Or does it just cut off?

2K, scaled to 125%.
It looks like on the attached image above.
Cutted off by popup border.
Can't be scrolled down or changed by arrows.
I can only choose visible options.

I don't agree with you either. Everyone has responsibilities - you have too. But do you have responsibility to take care of my kids(that I dont have)? No. Using simply the word responsibility does not mean anything. You have to be very very concrete here. The post you quoted was on something very specific which I will right away add should be covered in the Sony EULA that is added thankfully. Other than that I don't see how that is GOG related.

Congrats, GOG. Another notch in the stock of your rifle.

B1tF1ghter: 1. Such information should be included on store product card, for maximu visibility.
Shoving it into a legal babble EULA that close to noone reads and which is often deliberaly ambiguous, is not exactly pro consumer move.
Since when was Sony pro-consumer? :P

avatar
B1tF1ghter: 2. Good luck doing this with every single game. Including every single hidden nested executable they might have aside from the primary one, in their respective game install directories.
Say what? You simply block everything by default with a prompt whenever a new application needs access. It's quite easy, I've been doing it since WinXP days.

avatar
B1tF1ghter: In ideal world everything should be disclosed and every data collection should be strictly voluntary.
However we live in a twisted joke of a worldline where morals are of low to no importance to most humans...
Yes, you'd better start believing in cyberpunk dystopias, because you're in one :P.

avatar
B1tF1ghter: Again, it's not quite true.
And has been demonstrated to not be true in practise. Even just recently, sites like GitHub have been found liable for hosting offending content, "not just the people who made such content". But your guys logic they shouldn't have been.
Hell, by your logic servers hosting "questionable content" of any kind shouldn't be brought down, or prosecuted, only those "who made said content".
This logic, again, does not fly very well with any court in any reasonable country.
There are very few exemptions to those laws, and digital game distribution isn't one of them.
How is any of this "offending" if you agree to the EULA? I'm not saying I agree with telemetry of any kind, because I'm also strongly opposed to it, but that doesn't make it illegal. It simply means there's more legal loopholes publishers have to jump through for it to be there.

avatar
B1tF1ghter: Then it's downright illegal by the EU laws.
You have to agree with the EULA to play their games, so it's not. You are given the illusion of choice, should you want to use their product on their terms or sod off.

Really? If a farmer poisons his crop, would you arrest the stall vendor? No offense, but unless you are intimately familiar with how the retail market works, please don't use your intuition to decide who has responsibility for what. Because laws really aren't that intuitive in most cases.

Merci à GOG, Playstation et bien évidemment à FlaW313 =)
