Mori_Yuki: I've attempted to download and install the game twice using the offline installers from the website library, but it doesn't seem to work.
avatar
B1tF1ghter: On Linux there's innoextract ( for Innosetup based stuff ), there MIGHT be something similar for Windows which would allow you to unpack the installers directly perhaps...
Thanks! I hadn't thought about that. The installers can also be extracted under Windows, so this would be no problem, but - as I've stated in DirtyRolando's topic, my problem has seemingly solved itself, and I've forwarded it to support for them to take a look into the matter.

Atreyu666: Typical GoG forum behaviour. What did you expect? :D

foad01: I don't know. I've just read that the Epic Game Store is a monopoly and can't stop laughing anymore.
*cough* Well it is the only PC store that does exclusive release deals. Bringing the joys of Console crap to PC:P
Well ok Microsoft did it a while too.

foad01: The more you read the posts in this thread the more it is getting inane and insane. What was the thread about? Was there a game release?

Well this is tame compared to steams average tuesday of trolling.

I believe GOG should not be releasing spyware-filled games, and IMO GOG should therefore delist this God of War game, and also all other Sony games too, until such time as if & when Sony agrees to release spyware-free games on GOG.

Likewise, IMO GOG customers should not tolerate this either. Hitman GOTY caused a massive backlash for being filled with DRM, but yet most GOG customers give these Sony games a "free pass" for being spyware-filled? This makes no sense to me.

Yes, GOG should delist all games with achievements because these games collect user data. It is outrageous.

Well, if you read what you just wrote it might make sense.

Hitman GOTY -> DRM
Sony games -> "spyware"

Both are bad, but on different levels if you ask me. "Spyware" I can combat by pulling the network plug or faking lack of network connectivity, while the kind of online DRM Hitman had is usually unapproachable or an absolute pain to combat, and frankly it has no place here if even a mere inkling of DRM-free is to be maintained.

Might I remind you all Unity games come with telemetry pre-enabled, so unless the developers explicitly disable it, it will be there, doing its thing. And there's like a bazillion of Unity games on GOG. Telemetry is not a new thing on GOG, and nor CDPR nor GOG are strangers to it.

In fact, the GOG website and GOG Galaxy are little telemetry engines of their own. It's literally the "I heard you like telemetry so we included some telemetry in your telemetry" meme, but few people are aware of it.

Syphon72: What is woke about Dune Part Two?
avatar
Reaper9988: Messing up established Series and even ancient Myths does definitely make it worse.
I don't mind them making new stuff but it's just as with other Media, messing up established stuff is just bad.

As for woke not necessarily bad, generally agreed but I found a lot of woke media focuses on the ideology and the story and content suffers for it. Not to mention it's often extremely cringy implemented.
I'm looking at you BG3.....

Can't speak for Dune 1 or 2 as I didn't watch it and didn't read up on it. Really not interested in the reboot.
God of War series mess up ancient Myths just by existing - Olympians, Titans and Protogenoi can't be killed, period. Kratos does it from day one.

Cringy implementation is result of bad writing, and almost everything suffers from it these days. Larian was never good at writing.

Mafwek: I don't believe GOG will ever be getting this game (if it ever comes out on PC!), since Fromsoft Souls games are both single and multi player games, and GOG multiplayer support is as good as Rivers of Blood in Elden Ring meta currently. Imagine playing Souls game without all gankers, hackers and exploiters, it's just not the same experience.

I will definitively be getting GoW 4 on GOG tomorrow though.
I assume you are joking. I have played the og "Demon Souls", the first "Dark Souls" and "Dark Souls 2" as well as "Bloodborne" and all of them I played SP. At best the MP aspect was always on only in the sense of people leaving messages and warnings you would see ghosts of.
If they take that out it would lose a bit of charm but I honestly would not mind.
Oh I forgot to add one thing and in my comment before and this isn't necessarily guilty of Sweet Baby specifically but the Suicide Squad had 26 writers, that is INSANE and will hurt any type of consistency you try having for the writing. I would understand if a few were for checking the lore of a previous story but that is not what this was. There is a saying about "Too many cooks in the kitchen will spoil the meal" and this applies to the story. There should have been 2-3 writers, PERIOD. This has become a problem in TV shows too...I don't know about movies.
I mean seriously the more writers you have the more will get into debates about whether this or that is better.
Instabuy, thank you :)
Nice, one less game off the waiting list. What should one look tp next?
- More Sony games?
- More Sega releases? The yakuza package was big, but i would have prefered more diversity.
- More xbox games releases. That recent one could open lots of possibilities.

Ola, acho que muito xbox og jogos podesse ser ported porque e PC consolizo, nao e?

Hello, I think that many original XBox release could be ported easily because it is a consolized/customized PC, right?

I would like to see "Otogi" and "Otogi 2" get releases on PC as well as "Gunvalkyrie" and Jet Set Radio Future.

True enough, I care more for the Nordic Myth, not so much for Greek. There is a still a difference between messing it up and spitting in the face of it for the sake of it. I mean the switch isn't even in line with itself.

The most cringy moments in BG3 are the "woke" ones but yeah I'm one of the few people that isn't much of a fan of BG3 as a Baldurs gate game.either way,
Bad storytelling can happen anywhere, "woke" media just seems to have a knack for it.
Maybe it's people writing these stories that have nothing to do with the intended Audience ? No clue.
I should qualify that, mostly mainstream woke media. There is some Indie games that do it pretty well. Bastard Bonds comes to mind.

I was only half sarcastic. You can played them in single player only the way I played DS2, (that piece of crap) DS 3 and most of Elden Ring but they loose a part of their charm, indeed. Which is why I say they need multiplayer for full experience.

1. Suicide Squad was dead from the moment they decided to make bad live service game.

2. Problem with Sweet Baby Inc isn't that they are incompetent and lazy writers, but that they are disgusting racists who want to cancel their critics. Also - mob like method of getting employment.
Can this game be played offline without limitation? Is it true drm-free or it is like hitman?
Just so I can decide if I will put this on wishlist or not.
I don't care about telemetry... I usually play offline nowadays to avoid crap like that to work... but of course it will only work if there is no drm.
