KetobaK: Bad time to not get paid, to my wishlist for some time more :(
Hey, perhaps our generous angel 'Doc0075' will someday grace the giveaway with it :P
( on one hand I hope so, on the other hand I actually hope NOT - it amazes me how Doc isn't BANCRUPT yet, considering how many games they donated over all those years )
You will have to try your luck in 2+ months ( your remaining cooldown ), wink wink nudge nudge? :D

LegoDnD: The proper way to live in a dystopia is to defy the dystopia.
WinterSnowfall: But... that why we're all here isn't it? :P Otherwise we'd all be sweating in a far steamier situation.
I could make several sarcastic jokes around your ignorance here, instead I will ask, JUST TO BE SURE:
You are here, on a platform which once publicly BOASTED about being 100% DRM-free, the platform which then proceeded to coverty REMOVE said boasting material, and any public remarks of being "100% DRM-free", the platform which then directly proceeded to shift their focus and provide statements such as this:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/drm_on_gog_list_of_singleplayer_games_with_drm/post413 the platform which HAS ACTUAL DRM in several products they sell ( therefore NOT " 100% " DRM-free like they USED TO claim ),
the platform which claims it's client app is OPTIONAL, yet for several games the newest, most patched version is ONLY AVAILABLE THROUGH GALAXY ( offline installers lagging behind ) - the " "optional" " client app,
the same platform which is openly bending down to censorship demands of a country far far away from it's base of operations,
the same platform where forum moderation is virtually non existent, and when it happens it's BLIND banhammer swings, ricocheting into innocent bystanders as well?
Same platform where public criticism of said platform is often silently REMOVED? Criticising threads being LOCKED?
Same platform where mentions of it's competition ( topics such as "list of DRM free games on Steam / EGS" ) cause given threads to be artificially locked down?
And you want to oppose who?
Steam?
The platform which actually DOESN'T force any DRM on the developers? Where it's ENTIRELY a FREEDOM for a developer to use OR NOT any DRM?
Where there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of games which after INSTALLING are 100% DRM-free and DON'T require Steam to be running to work? ( which BY THE WAY, GOG now has the SAME policy, like I linked before: which is "it's up to a developer whether they want to have DRM on our platform or not", and some games on GOG DO in fact HAVE a DRM! )
Same platform which DOESN'T force people into exclusivity contracts? It's simply developers CHOOSING THEMSELVES "the most popular platform" and CHOOSING THEMSELVES into NOT publishing their game elsewhere?
The same platform where you can shittalk Gaben to your heart's content and as long as it doesn't break community guidelances, you are free to criticize Valve to no end?
The same platform where reporting a post actually causes it to get removed?
The platform where BOTH the frontend AND the backend are under constant development? ( as opposed to eg GOG's ANCIENT forum CMS with bugs known for YEARS )
If you want to look for gamedev opressing tyrants, look no further than EGS, who is DE FACTO monopoly ( Steam never was, it is not forcing people into exclusivity contracts, UNLIKE EGS, it is simply the most POPULAR ) for the duration of their "timed EGS exclusivity contracts".
If anything, it's THEM who you should have the biggest beef with.
What is it EXACTLY that you are opposing "by being here" ?
You are either uninformed, gaslighting YOURSELF, or are covering your eyes and ears to not notice things going on here, on GOG, for YEARS dude.
No offence. But like for real, open your eyes.
You have been successfully bait and switched, and you're none the wiser. You've been hoodwinked. You either not know ( YET! ) or are choosing not to see that.
Mori_Yuki: I've attempted to download and install the game twice using the offline installers from the website library, but it doesn't seem to work.
On Linux there's innoextract ( for Innosetup based stuff ), there MIGHT be something similar for Windows which would allow you to unpack the installers directly perhaps...
