Better humour than Lo Wang in Shadow Warrior?
The demo is still available too, by the way.
And does a pretty good job at conveying what to expect from the full release.

GOG hates the demo and critics seem to like the full game so no suprise there, i will wait for steam reviews and look there for the larger sample of reviews. Unfortunately the review section here is a shitshow most of the time.

Looks interesting though but still wonder how repetitive it will get after hours of play.

I only tried the demo of Ghostrunner and there was no humour to speak of.
pre-ordered after playing the demo yest. Downloading now.

The Standalone installer is on v 0.30655.407 though. Should I be concerned?

Will tell you in a few minutes, possibly just GOG's internal naming. I already downloaded the installer and installation is almost complete.
Also: Downloading via Galaxy utilises only 0.3MB/s - using the browser I could get up to 8MB/s from my 10MB/s connection. For those who may affect this as well. (disregard, read below why this may possibly be in vain)
Summary, added later: Old Offline installer version can not be played without crashes, setup through Galaxy was necessary. Working version is 0.30660.408. Informed support via ticket, request #767972. Offline installers have since been updated.

Edit 1: Game main menu says the same, 0.30655.407 when just using the offline installer.
Edit 2: Game can be played though. Pressing level select causes a UE4 Fatal Error however... continue works. Haven't unlocked any levels, yet, though - hopefully fixes itself. (It doesn't, see edit 6)
Edit 3: Unable to reach second level, same Fatal Error message every time, when in the elevator. Galaxy attempted a patch, which I aborted - will try it with this.
Edit 4: Galaxy fails to update the game repeatedly, also - it tries to redownload EVERYTHING. Will remove the game completely and redownload from scratch via Galaxy, will report back later. Attempting repair first, also via Galaxy.
Edit 5: After verify and repair via Galaxy 12MB were redownloaded(I renamed the annoying startup logos, just were those) - patching is currently running. Still, 11 GB again. When done I will report back. Will take a while, cause of the issues mentioned above - downloading with between 0.1 and 1.7MB/s right now.
Edit 6: Just for giggles I decided to go into the main menu and choose "continue" - second level was loaded. So one could maybe continue this way... Level select still does not work, regardless. I'll still wait for the patch download to complete.
Edit 7: Patch failed again 20 minutes in, removing game and reinstalling from scratch using Galaxy...
Edit 8: Game installed through Galaxy(download got interrupted several times and required manual restart). Version in main menu now says 0.30660.408. Level select works now, also the transition between levels.
Edit 9: Created a ticket with support to request an update/patch for the offline installer, request #767972
Edit 10: Offline installers are up-to-date now, screenshot attached.

I can not even start the game. Had no issues with UE games before.

"...the fact that the DX12 API is currently an experimental build"

Would explain why overall performance goes down quite a few notches when enabling raytracing, even on a 20 series card.
Not that having RTX on makes that much of a difference visually anyway, at least to my eyes.

Game is running, and mostly all right (had a keybinding reset. Wasn't sure what happened. Quit, restarted, had to do last 3 checkpoints over).

The Galaxy update for the 7.6 MB patch is stuck on 92% though. Doesn't stop me from playing the game, mind.

20 series cards suck for raytracing in general. It's not 'normal' for them to be good at it.

I meant that the demo had poor reviews by GOG users which has improved slightly since however the full game seem to be getting great reception though which is nice.

I played a little bit of it. I think it's very niche. It's faced paced one hit kill ninja game. It shouldn't be hard to know if that is something you're into or not. I think I'll pass it's just not my sort of thing.
