Frozen Cortex, a turn-based sports management game, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 75% launch discount.

Frozen Cortex, the spiritual successor of Frozen Synapse, lets you engage in all that as you manage your team and your custom-made players on the road to victory. Building your roster can be just as important as guiding their positions and actions on the playfield, and if you ever get tired of the four single-player modes, you can fight your friends for the coveted title of the ultimate Frozen Cortex champion. After all, you do have that free extra copy that's waiting to be gifted...

Play hard ball and dominate the tactical fields of Frozen Cortex, DRM-free on GOG.com. If you are addicted to the soundtrack or crave some additional customization, make sure to grab the Soundtrack Tier, the Mega Tier, or the Ultimate Tier. The 75% discount will last for the duration of the Summer Sale.

In the press:
"Frozen Cortex is one of the deepest strategic experiences on PC" - PC Gamer
"Its distilled tension makes each match feel like the best of sport and strategy gaming" - Rock Paper Shotgun
"Another brilliant slice of strategy from Mode 7" - Eurogamer
Noticed this one a fair while back.
Anyone able to comment on the AI and how the game is for single players? (those who got it elsewhere etc)
Also how much of the game is "management"?. Can only see 3 screenshots and none show career season etc (is there an option for that? -- ie not for stats guru? - those who play sports management games know what i mean)

vulchor: I just emailed support about this, this still doesn't seem right. I think the items they removed from the Ultimate Tier description are supposed to be there, otherwise the pricing doesn't make any sense. The Mega Tier still includes the soundtracks and is priced in-between the Soundtrack and Ultimate Tiers, but the high end Ultimate Tier only includes three pieces of in-game customizations? That doesn't seem right at all.

I think GOG had it correct the way they initially advertised it. Either way, I emailed them and asked them to provide me with everything that was advertised at the time I made my purchase. I'm sure they'll get this straightened out. GOG support has always been top-notch whenever I've dealt with them.
Check the content vs price on http://www.frozencortex.com/ or http://store.steampowered.com/app/237350/ and compare with GOG offer and you will find out how it is...
Problem is Tier here on GOG is called Tier DLC on Steam (and doesn't include content of previous Tiers),
or the price have to be much higher - e.g. Ultimate Tier with everything included costs $100, Mega Tier $55...

I like discounts and buying games cheap as much as anyone - I guesss.

But I also think good games deserve good prices.

Is this a good game?
Pay To Lose DLC missing on GOG too :/

I only play the game as single player and I think it's great, either the AI is good or I'm just bad at this game but I haven't beat the AI two matches in a row yet. The mechanics are simple but still is challenging. There's two types of career modes that I have played, one is you create your own team, manage their stats as in upgrading them, nothing too complicated as far as management, and play in the league. Other type is basically the same but you can't loose a match or you have to start over. There's also custom matches you can set up.

As a single player user I feel there's a lot of content here. The playfield is randomized just like in Frozen Synapse but other than that everything is skill based.
From the updated page for the Ultimate Tier:

About: Ultimate Tier
In-Game customisation items
"Incredible Trophy"
"Ultimate Gloves"
"Ultimate Shoulder Pads"
Frozen Synapse Team
So a handful of skins costs $31.99 regular price? That's more than the base game itself costs! Wtf?

Is this supposed to be a joke about the state of the gaming industry or something?

It will be a bit confusing but , Base game $24.99 on both Steam and GOG and developer's site . Soundtrack DLC $10.99 on both . Mega Tier DLC $ 16.99 on both . Ultimate Tier DLC $34.99 on Steam and $31.99 on GOG . Now let's do a math . Total is 84.96 on
GOG and 88.96 on Steam . And there is also Tiers on Steam page .You will see a little discount on other packages but Ultimate tier costs 88.96 even on Steam , I don't know why it's $99.99 on Steam and on their website . Now I really don't understand why people complaining about complete tiers listing . Do you want to buy it for more expensive price ?

I saw it too , even game seems as unreleased , and DLC discount wasn't apply . And for DLC's it says your game already include this DLC . But it's fixed in short time . Don't need to rush things .

A question to fans of Frozen Synapse who have subsequently also played this game:

Which of the two would you rather play?
I'm wondering if Frozen Synapse Prime will also make it to GOG soon.
So is this true - I just bought the Mega and Ultimate Tier and Base Game, seems the ultimate tier gave you nothing 'Ultimate'., normally each tier should include everything in the lower tiers, i was so confused and didnt want to wait because i would have to have paid full price for EACH tier, I thought the Ultimate Tier was all DLCs when i bought ultimate tier i got a 7MB DLC saying ultimate Tier (I payed a ffortune for 7MB in stuff) no soundtrack and nothing in the lower tiers were included, seemed you got better value just buying the mega teir and saving half price, but i bought both tiers (didnt need sountrack one) Ultimate tier (7MB DLC) and then after finding out the Ultimate gave you virtually bloody skins, and after i bought the Mega, then i got some decent goodies.

Very unhappy GOG, need to fix things, i think i just wasted my money in buying the Ultimate Tier for

In-Game customisation items
"Incredible Trophy"
"Ultimate Gloves"
"Ultimate Shoulder Pads"

$34.99 Australian for THIS !
