Eliminating the impossible, embracing the improbable

Four Sherlock Holmes games, chronicling the point'n'click exploits of the brilliant consulting detective, are available now, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 60% launch discount if purchased individually or 80% as part of the 221b Baker Street bundle.

The somber sound of a deftly played violin spills in from the adjacent room. Sherlock must be in a mood again. The good doctor takes another look at the notebook where he keeps records of his dear friend's most spectacular adventures. Hmm, which one should he write about in an attempt to lift his spirits?

Maybe about The Awakened. This is where they faced a sinister cult worshiping terrible gods and had to unravel a downward spiral of senseless brutality and madness. The recollection still gives Watson shivers.

What about that time when the ultimate puzzle-solver met his Nemesis, as he engaged in a mental duel with the legendary gentleman thief Arsene Lupin?

Perhaps he can write about how they chased the infamous Jack the Ripper through the seedy Whitechapel district, while painstakingly examining those horrible murder scenes.

He is somewhat reluctant to recount The Testament of Sherlock Holmes. A thrilling case to be sure, but also one that revealed his companion's darker side, as he was fighting to clear his name of some truly vile accusations.

This is harder than he thought. See, they are all so chock-full of suspense, brilliant brain teasers, fateful encounters, and picturesque locales. Perhaps it's time to consult the charismatic man in the other room. After all, this is how they managed to tackle all those challenges in the first place: as a team.

Exercise your crime-solving skills in four adventures featuring the legendary Sherlock Holmes, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 60/80% discounts for 221b Baker Street will last for the duration of the Bundleopolis Sale.

Thiev: Unfortunately I don't have any solid info at the moment. We are always working towards bringing additional languages though.

MBiL_248: A veracious diplomatic answer. ;)
Hmmm I would've been much more blunt about it :P

Ah, there he is! If you have need for an original German version from Silver Earring, you know now who you can ask. :)

(I must admit that I'm a little bit greedy lately, but with all the new releases and additional German versions there's a feeling as if it was christmas at any time of the year here on GOG, and I can't wait to open more presents!)

Well, with all the Random Germans With Lists (TM) we have around here lately I am facing an inverse problem: too many games in German to sort through all at once :P

Now, if you would start with Two Worlds, you could settle two worlds at a single blow ... :)

(Bad one, I know ...)

And yes, you're right, we Germans love lists, it's a special attitude from us. Aaaand we love it very much to complete lists. :p

yep they count
okay sounds good a german translation
but we need a belgium/dutch aswell :D now thats gonna be a tough one :D hahahaha
dutch is not an easy language to learn, trust me i scored a 6 on average (typos or writing mistakes not counted anyone can make these)
My overall score was 75% off 100 ( without learning the test) and when i did learn it , i had 80-85% at average
which is not bad compared to my lousy dutch (my native language)

Unless British english / american english has drastically changed you always use the

the man the cow the president the country the coach the building the state the fire department etc etc etc etc

ofcourse you do have the nasty : a and an, these are quite nasty
we have all that and shitloads more of that in dutch.... hehehehe so goodluck with mastering dutch as easy as we dutch easily learn english.

German is hard because of: der dem das den entgegen entlang, .... and many more nasty words
Die und Das,
Die Fraulein ......
anyway i think you know what i mean.

kick is like: slaan, schoppen , to beat up (in elkaar slaan) can also be written in many ways...

final example:

schop = kick
BUT schop is also the name for a object; a shovel .... so like i said all the best in learning our dutch language in a very short period like the online commercials claim that anyone can learn how to
write and speak properly , so dutch is far from easy, please be warned :D.

Oh. Carry on. :)
Nice releases, was going to buy the bundle, but then saw Dying Light was the final Bundleopolis deal and couldn't resist so I ended up spending every last dollar I had on that instead. And so Sherlock Holmes goes onto the wishlist for now. Thanks GOG and Frogwares!
I've never played a Sherlock Holmes game before. How do they compare to something like the Ace Attorney series?

fan3l: When it comes to detectives in games, I prefer Tex Murphy. :)
I, too :)

Actually it would be "DAS Fräulein" and quite nobody is saying "Fräulein" today anymore here in Germany :)
But I guess that was not the point you were trying to make ;)
