Who wants to be a monster slayer?

FORCED SHOWDOWN, the roguelike/deckbuilding sensation based on the galaxy's most deadly TV show, is now available DRM-free on GOG.com with a 12% launch discount.

Welcome, esteemed guests and bloodthirsty viewers! You are watching FORCED SHOWDOWN, the game show that is not afraid to hack, slash, or disintegrate its contestants for your continuous entertainment! There will be no questions asked here tonight, save this one: do you feel ready to enter the Gladiator arenas and spill some blood? Sure, it can be your own, our audience loves that!

Cards are an integral part of any TV show and FORCED SHOWDOWN is no different. Only, instead of containing lame jokes, song cues, and reminders of the contestants' names, here they feature creatures, abilities, spells, and pretty much everything you need to survive the deadly arenas you are thrown into. Since the daily challenges and tournament rules will be constantly changing, so must you if you are to please the crowd and claim the show's prestigious prizes. Down in our Gladiator arenas one can find useful items and potential companions but also unphotogenic monsters and cunning traps. Do you think you can overcome these challenges and become our next crowd favorite? Do you--- Wait, was that a T-Rex that just entered the studio? Ugh, not again... Go to commercials!

Build a powerful deck, show the other contestants your war face, and enter the constantly shifting arenas of FORCED SHOWDOWN, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 12% launch discount will last until April 5, 19:59 BST / 11:59 AM PDT / 2:59 PM EDT.
Nice day 1 release to have... I guess.
12 releases in one day.

@JMich, is that a new record or there have been better days?

That looks pretty nice. But I suck at any deck-building game newer than Etherlords. :)
Looks nice but I do not have the reflexes to play that type of games. I'm in fact amazed that some people can, they seem superhuman to me.

That covers three months' worth of "where's Tuesday's game?" :)

Yep, but opens another door with "wonder what comes next Tuesday" :)

Yeah, until July they'll shut us up that we had a lot of old/new releases this year. Haven't we?

In all seriousness I like the new release pace, I wish they would keep it up for a time.

But still leaves the "where's Thursday's game?" group unsatisfied. ;)
Looks... like a... game? Honestly, I can't make heads or tails of it. I'll have to read up on it.

I see it's apparently a... spin-off? of Forced, which I own on Humble, but have not played yet. Will playing that give me any idea about this, or are they completely different, and just share the same game world?
Any chance we'll see Forced without the Showdown (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQyBuTgd1LY) which is a coop multiplayer title.

GOG will just have to sign another big publisher then, if they want a break. :)
Hm, I`ve seen Megapieman streaming this game last week, and it seems still to be buggy.
I don't understand the game's page.

The game is listed as "single-player" only, but the description mentions "Compete with other contestants in daily challenges and seasons". Are the "other contestants" characters within the in-game imaginary game-show or are they humans on the internet?

Yes.

What do you mean that is not an answer?
July 22, 2008 had 21 games.
March 29, 2016 had 12 games.
August 26, 2015 had 8 games.

Tell me if you want said data to be added to the spreadsheet, assuming I can recall how I did it.
