You really believe GOG doesn't want more Serious Sam games here? :-/ I'm pretty damn sure it's Croteam who stopped wanting to have their games on GOG. (The Talos Principle isn't here either and it has a vote count similar to Serious Sam 2.) I know SS2 has been on Steam for years now but I still think GOG would consider it worthwhile to have it and the other missing SS games here. (I know some folks here are skeptical of the wishlist, but the games do have hundreds of votes, in the case of SS2 it has 1,300, good amounts in the context of the wishlist)

I'd save the peevedness for clearly rejected titles that have a decent number of votes, like The Quest and co.

Most likely it was not your intention -- and usually I do not give a dime about what is being released (daily) on other distribution services -- but I took a look and found something interesting (at least for me)!

I am not sure, yet. The art style is intriguing, but I do not have much clues on the actual gameplay based on the trailer and screenshots. It looks a little familiar to some of the simple and brief interactions / activities in Wario Ware Inc. games -- or am I judging it wrong?

When GOG has ignorantly rejected games that are literally top-of-their-genre in the past, and now seems to accept as many hyper-niche indie games of dubious quality as they can... yeah, I feel hard done by.

I'll stop complaining about releases like this the day GOG un-rejects Mushihimesama and the other Degica published shmups.

As someone that has actually gotten games on gog by asking the devs and being told 'gog didn't want to work with us' despite having a strong history of games and sales and then asking gog to work with them after their games sold a heap, I just shake my head at some of the curated decisions.

That’s not to say that there might not be a full release here at some point, though I suspect the whole business has soured sellers and customers alike so would not hold out hope.

According to GOG back then the reason was (once again) that they felt unable to update multiple platforms. According to the latest playtests (02/12/2020) the game has been stripped of several features that were promised on KS and was at time of testing extremely buggy (including multiple and reproduceable crashs) - however then they were told that they (the publisher) made a mistake and were sent a non finished version and not the review version.All those bugs should be fixed until release (one day away). The testers were sceptic but promised to test the game again after release.

Did it even occur to you that GOG maybe actually would WANT to bring those game to the store but simply cannot? Bringing a game here requires (at least) TWO not just one party and BOTH will have to agree (sorry, but that'S the way contracts are working). One game released here is not the reason another game is not released. Maybe look up how this business is working for real and then come back and complain with some actual arguments.

Sounds about right. Talos Principle even had DRM on the Epic freebie as well as on Steam.
And imo that is completely understandable from your POV. I've experienced contacts with devs who got their game rejected and those that were accepted. I even experienced a contact with a dev who gets his game unrejected years later .. such things do happen in every curated store and if it is a game one is interested in it is sad and it feels wrong. However curation will always be subjective and GOG is probably deciding on the fact that THEY think the game will get customers interested. There's no other reason why they should reject any game if they don't have any troubles of the legal kind or a quarrel with the devs in question - everything else is illogical. In hindsight GOG may often think that they made the wrong decision but that is also a thing that can happen. GOG is far from being without any fault and they also don't have a crystal ball that is telling them about future sales. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. Whenever GOG is rejecting a game you personally think would be a good sell here you can only try to convince GOG that many are interested in it - that's by the way the reason for the community wishlist.

You have the right to express your opinion. You don't have the right to avoid consequences or criticism for doing so though.

Yes, I agree and that's why I am playing it on Android first, for 3 €, but will buy on GOG too if it goes on sale for much cheaper. Sadly GOG does not provide Android versions like Humble Store does, which is a bummer for mobile ports like this one.
