To have and have not.

Fallen Haven and Liberation Day are now available DRM-free, only on GOG.com.
We thought the colony planet New Haven was the answer but it only posed more questions. Mostly those of survival. In the ensuing war after the alien Taurans' attack, turn-based tactics, opportune positioning, and clever preparation will decide the victor in this old-school cult classic.

The sequel Liberation Day expands upon the fierce human-alien war, offering new unit types and a revamped research system, this time based on technology upgrades obtained through conquest.
Hadn't heard of these before. I'll definitely take a deeper look later.
Great, just great.

I haven't cared much about GOG releases in quite some time, this is the first time in probably several years that I get excited looking at the homepage and even considered an instabuy.

I actually never truly finished Liberation day, I always end up dropping it for a while and losing my save, so it's disappointing it doesn't have cloud saves. Or the soundtrack, which I really liked. But nevertheless, I'm very happy to see this title finally here.
DO WANT.

Anyone tried these games in WINE?
I have so much fond memories of this game, always hoped it would come out here eventually.
I played Fallen Haven way back, when full games on disks that came with magazines were a thing still.
I am so happy about that. Played that game till Windows couldn't handle it anymore :D

BIG THANKS GOG!
I was waiting for Metal Fatigue and Fallen Haven for so long.

Some time ago I tried to find my CD Copy of Fallen Haven, but it was gone.
Then I searched the Internet for a backup, but the game was nowhere to be found.
It was like it never even existed, I didnt even find Articles about it.

So glad both of these games are finally on gog.com, I bet the Rights-Situation was a difficult one.

Thanks GOG!!!

I got both from magazines back them, and I've finished Fallen Haven several times. I did'nt like the second one too much, but I surely recommend the first one.

rampancy: Anyone tried these games in WINE?
Some years ago I've played Fallen Haven in Linux, but I don't remember if it was through Wine or using a virtual machine in Virtualbox.
Holy crap, so I don't need my box version anymore?
Nice, very nice. Release of this duo+ Metal Fatigue is indeed a great addition to GOG's library. (Not so sure about Shivers, but it probably has its fans).

I'm really glad, Fallen Haven (Liberation Day) is rather hard to launch in newer systems, have hope that GOG's version will be working fine.
I think I paid even less for these two games back then. I got them through an economics magazine (!) as part of an JoWood or Interactive Magic distribution. They took the market with such aggressive pricing that all their games became shovelware automatically.

Meaning: I got both, I remember trying them, I didn't get very far.
Oh man, I've been waiting for these for the length of my stay here. Instabuys.
Great release!
Ca 1997 I played the demo of what I now know is Fallen Haven. For some reason that memory has stuck with me and not long ago I found myself wondering what game this was, haunting me with it's mystery. I had a faint memory of the I-Magic logo in the intro which I mistook for Blue Byte games, which sent me on a dead end hunt in the backlog of the wrong company. I would never have figured this out if it weren't for this GOG release.
