The wait is no more. Paradox Development Studio’s fourth installment of the award-winning Europa Universalis series is now available on GOG! And during our Black Friday sale you can get it with an -80% discount!

Europa Universalis IV is an absolute iconic classic in a historic, grand strategy simulator genre. It gives you control of a nation through four dramatic centuries where you rule your land and dominate the world with unparalleled freedom, depth and historical accuracy. Write a new history of the world and build an empire for the ages.

But of course we are not stopping on just the base game. 60 of Europa Universalis IV DLCs are also now available on GOG with discounts up to -50%! You can expand this incredible title with expansion packs, immersion and music packs, new units, additional content and more!

We are fully aware that 60 is a lot - but worry not! If you’d like to have the ultimate Europa experience, our GOG GALAXY client allows for incredibly easy management of any extra content to our titles including DLCs.

Just head over to our website and download GOG GALAXY. When within the client, all available DLCs can be found on the right side of the game’s card. After purchasing them, just go to your “Owned games” and select the game which you bought the DLCs for. All of them can be then found in the “Extras” tab on your owned game page.

You don’t need to do anything more. When installing a game, all available DLCs from your account will be downloaded by default. However if you’d like to have some of them not installed with the game, just click the configuration button (right of the “Install”), go to “Manage installation” then “Configure…” and then “DLC” tab. There, just hand select installments you’d like to automatically download with the base game.

And that’s just one of the many cool features GOG GALAXY offers! We are constantly improving our client and highly recommend it for the best store, library and gaming experience.

But back to Europa! You’ve waited long enough and the quest for world domination awaits to be fulfilled. From grand voyages of discovery to religious wars to revolutionary governments, the entire history of the early modern world waits for you to rewrite it. Make use of our -80% deal on Europa Universalis IV and prepare to spend countless hours in it.
FFS. If you want to release games with zillions of “DLCs”, Editions and shit at least fix your bloody search — return the option to sort by date of GOG release. Honestly, it seems GOG can’t do anything without breaking something in the process.

Syphon72: Maybe look first? Is this what you're looking for?
Then there'd be no reason to moan...

Zaragon: Glad to see this is finally on GOG, I enjoy EU4 so this is a purchase for me. However, my favorite Paradox game is Crusader Kings II, so I'd love to see that finally come to GOG. How about it guys?
Any suggestions on what are the essential DLCs to buy for EU IV?.
170 € only for the gameplay-DLCs is a bit rough.
A Sabaton sound track DLC?
I'd buy this game only for that reason, but I suck at grand strategy...

No. I want to be able to quickly check for all recent releases without browsing the entire list

ConsulCaesar: Europa Universalis IV is a great game that deserves a place on GOG. But it will be hard to beat the Humble Bundle promo from last spring (everything except the last DLC for 15 €).
I bought that and boy do I regret that. Time spent on modding and trying to get the game to work cost me much more than when I would have bought the whole load without discount. I'm done with Paradox. F*ck this shit. I was even excited about Vicky 3 but no thanks. I'm absolutely f*ckin done.

Was the package a different version of EU IV or why did your problems occur particularly with the HB-package?

“Release date” search options don’t work properly (and have never worked properly, I think). And I don’t care about Europa Universalis. OK, I want to know all today’s additions to the catalogue. How do I do that?
There used to be sorting option «By date added» or something like that before the last major search overhaul. It was one of the most useful options. I want it back.

No thanks to this DLC mess, I'll buy it when Paradox stops releasing new DLCs.
God bless DLC naysayers!
(cause I look back and I won't)

It wasn't different version. I could redeem it on Steam or Epic. There's no chance in hell I would ever buy or redeem something on Steam so Epic it was. But now Epic with it's equally shitty customer support has exactly the same spot as Steam in that regards. Anyway.

Maybe if you'd play the game only on Sundays, only certain countries and only the first couple of centuries then you might not even notice anything too weird. But when I play grand strategy then I like to play every possible variation imaginable. In that sense the game is utterly broken if you actually like to play the game.

Maybe Steam version might run better since some people have thousands of hours spent on it but then again I don't really know what those hours were spent on. If it was playing the vanilla game (hardly probable) or testing mods. But the thing with modding is that the very next patch is going to ruin it and you have to keep modding to keep up with the Paradox nonsense. That's why you test mods and never play them. But as stated earlier, testing mods resembles more playing than trying to cope with the vanilla.

I mean the sad state with Paradox is exactly that - sad. I sort of understand Paradox fans. After all I was huge fanboy myself. But once you realize that you fantasize about their games more than actually play and that they are never going to become anything close to what you hope for then that's pretty much it. It's like loosing religion and becoming atheist. I'm not even joking.

Sorry for the long rant but do you understand what I'm talking about? I'm sure it's not your first year trying to play their games, right? Even if not talking about the technical side. If the games would be playable then I wouldn't mind crashes every hour or so losing years worth of progress. I mean that's just icing on the cake.
60 DLCs...?

60 DLCs.

What? Am I reading this right? What happened to Paradox? Last game I played from them was Victoria 2 and Mount & Blade (original) when they still worked with Tale Worlds.

How 60 DLCs in their games became a thing? That's scary. Sorry to say.
But it works.

Psygnosis is all "shit, we could have sold each lemming separately".
