Knowledge can be the ultimate weapon.

Elven Legacy, a turn-based tactical battleground of warring fantasy races, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 66% launch discount.

In the world of Fantasy Wars, battles are often fought not only to reveal ancients secrets but to keep them from coming out. When a human mage threatens to unearth pieces of powerful, forbidden knowledge, the elder race gets mobilized to protect their Elven Legacy from falling into the wrong hands, and all factions get tangled in full-scale war.

The humans pushed the orcs out of their lands long ago but the greenskins have been preparing to take them back. Taking advantage of the recent turmoil they will now try and challenge the humans' supremacy and you can choose between the orcs and the elves in a highly-tactical campaign with multiple endings, based on your choices. Plan your moves carefully in the hexagonal-based maps when doing battle either against the A.I. or your friends and lead your race to victory, reaping the just rewards that will help you grow stronger and better overcome the challenges ahead. The Elven Legacy Collection also includes the Ranger, Siege, and Magic DLCs, which continue the story of the saga while also bringing many new campaign missions, maps, heroes, spells, and artifacts.

Get involved in tactical fantasy warfare instigated by dark forces that seek to exploit the Elven Legacy, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 66% launch discount will last until March 10, 1:59 PM GMT.
high rated
I began to strategically hold off on 1C games at FireFlower when GOG got Men of War games. So... instabuy!
Great . After waiting 119 years for the Elven Legacy Collection it's finally available on Gog . Wishlisted .

mrkgnao: I absolutely loved Fantasy Wars, yet did not like Fantasy General at all (the only game I quit in 2015), so the opposite might not be true.
I can agree with this. After playing Fantasy Wars I dug up Fantasy General to compare it to the new one, and it is not as good. But still good enough that I played through it,too.

The-Business: Can the combat animations be turned off? (E.g. playing Panzer General 1 with combat animations would have been a major annoyance for me).

jamotide: They can't be turned off,but you can set them to 8x speed, also one mouseclick aborts all animations. But at 8x speed you'd have to be really fast with the click to save a split second
I use 4x speed and double click if I am really impatient.
Thank you for this tip. ( ̄▽ ̄)ノ

Bought!

I've been interested in this game, but its protection was keeping me away. Launch discount is great too.
Now I should find the time to play it though!
Damn it. With that low launch sale price, I have very hard time convincing myself not to buy a game if it looks even remotely interesting (as these games certainly do). Yeah, I'll probably buy this collection tomorrow...
To buy or not to buy, that is question.
Good Game. I had in on GamersGate but I recommend it to every TBS fantasy hex based fan.

The only drawback: Don't expect much from the background story. Just skip to the action.

jamotide: Anyone who liked Panzer General, Fantasy General and so on will like this. I must have played through it like 10 times by now.

I had no clue about 1C until I returned to PC gaming a few years back. Even before I GoGged I grabbed a few of their games on Amazon. Everything I've played from them has been unique, deep and a ton of fun. Can't believe they had escaped my notice for so long.

turn limits
I've never played these but been curious about them. Happy to see them here. Purchased. :)

Keep up all the great work and releases, GOG! :)
