Egypt: Old Kingdom is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM, 40% off until November 13th, 2pm UTC. The free DLC Master of History is included in this release.

Continue your saga, side with the Egyptian dynasties as they fight evil Seth, and build great pyramids worthy of the gods.

Get the official Soundtrack and digital Artbook for your collection.

Get a taste of life by the Nile with the free Demo.
Another release right away, great! WITH A DEMO! The "prequel", Predynastic Egypt, was good fun. It's sort of an edutainment strategy game that scores you. Only a couple hours for a play through with replays likely.

This one, even if it's the same, is worth it to me. But it seems to be more strategy.

Bought it.
I honestly believed order would fail. It didn't and I'm happy owner of Egypt Old Kingdom.

Looks like a mobile game.
I truly love the pictures they use on the interface of these games.

Kudos for including a demo.

I hate TBS but even I am intrigued.

Is it a city builder or a civ builder ie is it a game like ROME,Zeus or is it Sid Meier's Civ? Both deal with similar subjects but play much much differently. Where does this fit in?
It's a good bit unlike others. I can't think of other games that it's more like, honestly. Which is quite weird to say, actually, since the genre has a lot of entries. I can't speak to this yet, but Predynastic started as a city builder that, eventually, expanded out to be a civ builder. It was actually great.

It is different from everything. You build by assigning population cards to various explored areas, telling them how to use these aeas (building fields, or a cemetary, or housing). It plays a bit like a board game, sometimes like a choose-your-own-adventure book. It's maybe like a clearer, friendlier version of King of Dragon pass. It is super sweet.

I finished the demo, I'm seriously considering buying it now (must weight funds and free time and stuff).

You mentioned that, but I must be looking right at it and not seeing it. :P
I'll try again.

Man, first my brain turns to mush and now my eyes.

Ok, bought it. Out of... love ? The feeling that the game deserves money, for its style, its difference, and the sympathy inspired by its enthousiastically pedagogic aspect. I support it.
Bought it, Instantly.

This game look equally beautiful as the previous one, I am looking forward to playing it.
Thank you, Claurs Victoria + GOG :)
Game is fun but only 32bit...can we get the 64bit version too, please?
