The award-winning adventure game is back with high-resolution visuals, new technology, and intuitive controls. Edna & Harvey: The Breakout - Anniversary Edition from Daedalic Entertainment is now available on GOG.COM. Join Edna and her bunny Harvey on their slightly not sane quest to break out of the sanatorium.

If you are already a proud owner of the original Edna & Harvey: The Breakout you will receive a special 50% discount on the game’s Anniversary Edition.
I own the game and the sequel. Don't see any 50% off discount...

It might be a cache issue, but adding game to cart should help.

Ah... dur lol didn't even try that. Thanks.
And the previous game is not going to be deslisted from gog as other times how in The 7th guest?

Considering the price of the original game, I would prefer a better discount.
Wishlisted for now.
Just like several other Daedalic games.
I can be patient - I am still waiting for a better deal for "Silence" - which in three (!) years never got a greater discount than 50%.

Howlongtobeat says the average time to complete the game is 8 hours

I appreciate the fact that the publisher is leaving the old version available for purchase. It's not often they do that, but it's the way these remasters should be handled.
Does this fix the game-breaking bug in the cafeteria that caused me to rage-quit the game the first time around?

The original version of 7th Guest comes included as a seperate file with the Anniversary Edition.
It's nice to have a discount for owners and super nice to have a linux version which the original version lacked. And the game even has the "original" mode. Instant purchase!
Does Daedalic also plan to make Anniversary (Enhanced, call it what you will) edition of Harvey´s New Eyes?

2.4 GHz Quad Core CPU

I like the games BUT is the new version developed with java ? might give same problems ....
i own both games, and both make a quadcore 2.66 ghz sweat

i wonder, the old games seemed to use java or something like that,my quad core 2.67 should be able to run it, yet the cpu wants to turbo all the time, .

The new version, what is the req. screen resolution? cant go higher than 1280 x1024 ( 75 hertz)

Is the new version developed with Unity ?

Anyway, i guess i have to try it :D

Bought :D

EDIT: made with UNITY :D

starts game ......
(fingers crossed)

it crashed at intro , not responding it said .... so i pressed ESC and the game started

now to see how cpu hungry the game is

I have kinda mixed feeling about this. First, its good that they didnt "abandon" their old game and made tech upgrade to it, even with Linux support which is much appreciated. On other side, its not like they made NEW game, so its strange that they sell it as new, since its just update. Discount for old owners is nice move, but as stated before me 50% is not immediately convincing to purchase. There is a lot of developers who rolled free upgrades too. At, say, 75% off would be much more interesting deal.
Still, Linux support is nice perk.

There's no expiry date we're aware of. In case we'll be notified we need to shut it down, we'll let you know with respectable heads up
