-Nachtmahr-: Do you prefer pay 2 win and 199$ worth of weapons as dlc? Some packs already had new weapons, or better versions, like the assault rifle with 30 round mag instead of 20 and an electricity based rifle that doesn't alert enemies.
Cosmetics are a way to support the developer without having to buy everything for the full experience. I won't buy the platinum since I found the game quite boring but I have seen worse
No I don't buy MTX of any sort, or games that include them, but tell me how do you even get P2W in a single player game?
As for Multiplayer, i gave up playing those games a decade ago, due to the rampant MTX infestation, and with single player I stop supporting devs that shoehorn in after sale MTX, as a cash grab.
If they go as far as Bethesda and actually insert ingame purchases, like Fallout 4, Skyrim SE two years after I bought the game, I remove those game from my account, and delay further purchases for as long.
I no longer buy Bethesda games, or Ubisoft, because they have MTX in all SPGs these days.
Also no cosmetic MTX doesn't support the developer, in any constructive way, by rewarding them for good story based added content, like buying the game, and well made expansions does.
All buying cosmetic MTX does, is support the MTX ecosystem, rewarding devs for making piss poor crappy MTX content.
I refuse to support devs that think MTX is ever worth paying for, it isn't.
It's the MTX supports devs fallacy that leads to Games As A Service trash, and the entire mobile gaming market.
I'd rather a dev studio went out of business, than buy 2nd rate MTX trash to keep it selling even more 3rd rate MTX trash.
CDPR showed how to do added content right, with Witcher 3 give away the cosmetics in game, or as free DLC.
Only sell good story based content in expansions at a fair price, for the content provided.
When base game is $60, a $6 expansion should have about 10% of the base games content, and about 10% of the dev time spent on the base game.
Not $6 cosmetics that can be as simple as changing a texture skin, or worse a recolouring of the same texture.
Cosmetics are sold because they are basically 100% pure profit, for 0% game content, and zero dev time, and effort
If devs want my cash, they have to earn it first.
