Dungeons 2, an ode to a classic with a brand new twist, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The game comes complete with GOG Galaxy Support for Achievements, and a 50% launch discount.

The Ultimate Evil, the Dungeon Lord is back, with a burning vengeance and malice. Dungeons 2 is an homage to the classic Dungeon Keeper games, but it also introduces its own twists and interesting improvements, all to strike just about the ideal balance between the new and the classic. Fans of the original dungeon keeping experiences are sure to find plenty of familiar joy here, while stumbling upon things that are new, fun, or just plain better. In Dungeons 2 you'll not only create your own dungeon of doom & gloom, but also expand into the foreign outerworld to take the fight straight to your enemies.
Narrated by Kevan Brighting (the star of the Stanley Parable) Dungeons 2 is a game that puts fun and whimsy first - in a true, classic spirit.

There's a treasure buried deep in the lairs of ancient dragons, nasty, devious creatures bent on taking over the world. Fight fire with fire, and unleash your evil upon the dragon invasion. But first, you'll have to pick up Dungeons 2: A Chance of Dragons, the hefty add-on with over 10 hours of gameplay, all-new enemies and fiery challenges.

Keep up with Dungeons 2 available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The launch discount will last for four days, until Sunday, September 13, 1:59 PM GMT.

Tune in to Twitch.tv/GOGcom and see this Dungeon Keeper homage in action with MegapiemanPHD - his stream goes live on Thursday, September 10th, at 4pm GMT (that's 6pm CEST, 12pm EDT, or 9am PDT)!
How did they come up with such a creative title?

'Doom' was taken.

I am wishlisting. I can't push the $20 for one game but it will go on sale at some point and I will snag.
No Linux version, again?

Klumpen0815: Ahh, thanks. I'll continue to wait for a DRM-free and flat priced Linux port of "WftO" then.
The team behind WftO sounded so lazy when they were talking about supporting their Humble version even. Like 'Oh, it's a lot of effort, we have to take features away from the DRM free version... updates will be limited to 'large ones only'.'

I really doubt that game will be coming here enthusiastically. Or at all. Please, look at their website's comments by their own staff, and brace for disappointment; not only for the DRM free support, but also the mac/Linux support.

It´s nice to see it on here; although it looks kinda strange to have Dungeons II but not Dungeons on here I can understand it due to the mediocre ratings for Dungeons+the nonexistent (as far as I know...) benefits of having played #1 before playing #2...

But it was terrible wasn't it ?

Klumpen0815: Wait, is this what became of "War for the overworld" or is it something else? Is there a "Dungeons 1"?
There is a Dungeons 1 and a stand alone expansion (Dungeons Dark Lords), the expansion being way better than the original game of the series.

So, it's baffling to see the latest Dungeons and not the old ones, too. And if they start bringing the newest titles, can they be bothered for Tropico 4 and 5?

wolfsrain: can they be bothered for Tropico 4?
Yes.
What was Dungeons 1 like?
That's what I was talking about.
If not an old and epic game atleast we have a game with epic name. :D
Thank you

War of the Overworld is an indie game that was made in the likes of Dungeon Keeper and is only available on Steam for now since it depends a lot on steam api and the drm-free version will be only available for people who buy directly from the dev store (as a free bonus) since its going to be a downstripped version of the game - again cause of high steam integration). Dungeons II (Kalypso game) is kind of a mix of Dungeon Keeper with RTS elements with the battles in the overworld (looks like Warcraft 3 that part of the game).

Eitherway nice to see Dungeons 2 here. Wishlisted.

From the screenshots, it really looks generic as hell in a LOL way.... :(
This looks like a lot of fun! Nice release!
Another game without the Linux version, GOG could at least give a reason why this is yet again missing.
