More on topic, hm, the one review already posted calls it Gothic in 2D... Would that refer to the clunky combat or the outstanding atmosphere and a setting you can actually feel you're living in?

Started playing it, but I'm not sure what secondary attack with two handed axes does (right click). Is it a block move or some kind of push back one? Not sure how to use it. Any idea?

Gothic in 2D? Consider me interested.

From the various reviews I've read, “2D Gothic” seems appropriate and made me buy the game. Free roaming with no hand holding, factions, no punishment for misbehavior (if you don't get caught ;-) and areas full of creatures that don't scale but are almost impossible to defeat without advanced equipment and so could have populated Khorinis...

It's awesome.

I liked it too. There is some inspiration by Gothic in the sense of some isolated world, major factions choices and etc. But that doesn't mean the game isn't good in its own right. I'm enjoying it so far - the story is interesting and immersive.

Question again to those who are playing with axes - what does secondary attack do? It's confusing.

Very good so far, and indeed very reminiscent of Death Trash, in gameplay at least.

But man, am I getting tired of seeing every. fucking. single. developer/publisher fall in with and perpetuate this utterly moronic dancing around and going out of one's way of not calling a spade a spade, a male a male and a female a female.

Looks good, which is why it's still on my wishlist. Gonna wait till it gets a better discount tho.

I hope 'Körperbau' (engl. physique) means whether the PC is muscular, fat, slim or that kind of thing. Because if it is used to avoid the question for the sex of the PC that would be just fucking stupid.

Körperbau does mean physique, while the particular option is Körpertyp 1 || Körpertyp 2, body-type 1 or body-type 2, to avoid calling it female/male- if you will, or if that is the purpose to keep it gender neutral/fluid/non-binary.
