This is how a new age of epic fantasy RPGs was spawned.

Wow, how slow is your Internet? :( I could download that in 1:40 if the download sustained at my full speed the whole time, or more likely 2 hours. Are you connected to the Internet via 2 tin cans and a string or something? :)

deonast: Damn you EA with your MP3 soundtrack. Can't be an ultimate edition without a FLAC soundtrack thrown in, in my opinion. Oh well guess I bought it for the game anyway.
If there's demand for it, GOG might be able to negotiate a FLAC release in the future as they've done for countless other games in the past, although they'll have to ensure they're actually FLAC and not just MP3s converted to FLAC by idiots or sheisters at the publisher. :)

Not three months for the download itself, but three months all together. I'd get 10Gb and need to wait a month for the reset, download 10Gb, wait another month, finally grab those last 2 Gb.

Holy shit, you have a 10GB/month cap? That's terrible! I'm on the 2nd tier of my ISP at 30Mbps and our cap is like 350-400GB or so and they do not enforce it or bitch unless you go over significantly 2-3 months in a row. Internet + phone costs me about $105/month.

Game very definitely fits into the catagory of 'it's easy, therefore it's good'. If you're looking for anything other than generic, poorly written cut scenes strong together(i.e gameplay, depth, a decent ai and so on) look elswhere. But hopefully it will lead to some more good games(rather than just easy) coming here.

My question is, does the gog version come with the awful memory leak that never got fixed?

Yes, it is but you can also get LTE for the house too in some countries. You have to be within its coverage area in order to get any use out of it, otherwise you get bumped down to HSPA speeds.
