We know them, we love them, and they’re about the get better than ever – DOOM + DOOM II, now available in one, neat pack, is out on GOG!

Developed by id Software, and originally released in 1993, DOOM pioneered and popularized the first-person shooter, setting a standard for all FPS games. The critically acclaimed sequel, DOOM II, followed in 1994. Now the definitive, newly enhanced versions of DOOM and DOOM II are available as a combined product.

Buying DOOM + DOOM II you’ll get access to a variety of content, expansion packs, as well as a series of notable improvements.

Now on GOG!

Worth noting: If you owned DOOM (1993) and/or DOOM II, you’ll receive DOOM + DOOM II for free.

I prefer to have different versions separated like this, than hidden in extras, but they're surely a lot.
I wish they used more meaningful titles, like.. Doom Kex, Doom Unity, etc. Otherwise they all look the same.
Also, the content and free update to old owners seem great, but.. DX12 (according to an user) and Bethesda account required?? Come on..
Even "Doom Kex" and "Doom Unity" doesn't tell me much. Like what do these versions offer that simply throwing the WADs into GZDoom would not provide? That's basically what I'm looking for. A chart with each of edition of Doom! You know, like with those games that have Special Editions, Deluxe Editions, Super Editions, & Knuckles Editions, you know.

It's just a bit worrying when you get an email congratulating you on getting a new game when you know you haven't bought anything from GOG in a while! :-)

PLEASE GOG AND BETHESDA STOP F*CKING WITH THE CONTENT ALREADY IN MY LIBRARY. I DON'T WANT YOU "COMBINING" MY GAMES. I DON'T WANT YOU ALTERING THE CONTENT (ASIDE FROM BUGFIXES). I DIDN'T WANT IT WITH WOLFENSTEIN, I STILL DON'T WANT IT WITH DOOM. GIVE ME BACK THE ORIGINAL GAMES I HAD.

There is a Software mode. Wow, I'm impressed Nightdive!

Changing the subject, would this be a "Bethesda.net account required" type of DRM? It's on the product page.

..was this a case of an EVEN EARLIER replacement by them that i missed? Are they JUST the original games in their original forms with ALL the original content included (no new launchers, no new directx12 requirement, etc.)?

I assume you ignore what you own in your library. Based in your own post and info

Anyways it is very simple. Download The Ultimate Doom, for example, it is in your library according to your own words, play it. And tell us if it is the original DOS version or not
