Don't Starve - Shipwrecked, the expansion pack to the wacky survival simulation, is now available for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount.

Wilson must not really like eating because he always manages to find himself in uncomfortable situations where malnourishment is just a couple of misclicks away. To be fair, though, it was inevitable that a chap with his name would eventually get Shipwrecked, so he better just make the most out of it.

The archipelago might look like a tropical paradise at first glance, but there's no shortage of dangerous natural elements and things that want to kill you so that they Don't Starve. As you navigate the open ocean and explore this unfamiliar world, looking for new resources and new things to eat, seasons keep changing so you must quickly adapt to the biomes if you want to survive. Escaping the local predators and avoiding starvation are going to prove challenging endeavors but you always wanted to try on that sweet captain's hat, didn't you?

Keep yourself nourished, run away from man-eating creatures, and make the most out of being Shipwrecked, DRM-free on GOG.com.

HunchBluntley: Shipwrecked is newly released -- it was previously in Early Access elsewhere. 10-15% off is pretty standard for a new release.
You are missing the point that owners of the base game are being given a bad deal. It is ~45%* off as part of the bundle pack with everything else.

*even when factoring Don't Starve and Reign of Giants at their 50% off price point

Exactly. A bit odd that only people who have supported the game all along get the raw deal, discount-wise.

Wasn't something like this explained by the dev on TLF? Seems logical, early adopters pay a higher price, and those who wait for the tail of the game lifespan pay the least. The bundle is just trying to lure potentail buyers to take the jump.

Personnaly, from the flood this week has been so far, i think i'll grab this expansion during the weekend. Grim Dawn is keeping me very busy to consider more.

"Odd" as in "unusual"? Not really -- it's a pretty common tactic to entice people who don't have any part of a series to buy everything in one fell swoop, as opposed to waiting for a better deal on certain parts (like I do =) ). And if they did it the other way around, we'd just have to listen to complaints from people who hadn't heard of (or gotten around to buying) the base game previously that they were getting the short end. (Of course, they could see to it that the prices for new buyers and the prices for past customers "upgrading" were the same...but where would be the fun (or profit potential) in that? :P )

Release discounts are never "good" discounts, anyway -- anybody who's really concerned with getting a good deal can, and should, wait.
I bought the whole bundle, even though I already have the game and the first expansion. I can't stand bundles labeled unbought when I have all the constituent parts. You win again, GOG.
And thus regional pricing has reached Don't Starve as well. :(

There have been other releases though where the discounts were pretty much the same for everyone, regardless of what you owned. This one just singles out people who have already bought everything else. It's happened before, but not very often, and it's displeasing to me. Not that GOG cares. :)
Glad to see GOG now has Shipwrecked.

I guess Don't Starve Together is never going to make it to GOG. I have read elsewhere that Don't Starve and Don't Starve Together was going to be combined into one game... seems like it should be.

Does anyone who has the Don't Starve Alone Pack know if it is just one installer file for all 3? From what I understand Don't Starve needs to be installed first to install the Reign of Giants and/or Shipwrecked. It would be nice if all the DLC was built into one app.

I think Don't Starve Alone Pack should have as base game and rest of games will be as DLC
Like any other collection pack or Game+collecton pack upgrade.
However if you buy three of them separately you won't see Don't Starve Alone Pack as OWNED
But if you buy Don't Starve Alone Pack you will see whole series as OWNED.

One of the devs posted in their forums a while back that they planned on having cross-platform compatability with the GoG and Humble versions. Dunno if that's still the plan - but I wouldn't expect to see Don't Starve Together here until it is out of beta on Steam.

Don't Starve Together is apparently still in Early Access, and the devs probably don't want to have to create and support a GOG In Dev version so late(?) in the development cycle. Also, the game uses Steam to power its multiplayer, so they'd have to "translate" it to using Galaxy, and therefore that expansion (multiplayer being the whole point, and all) would effectively require Galaxy, which will probably piss off a lot of DRM-free zealots around these parts if a GOG version ever DOES get released. :)
So how is the gameplay different from Reign of Giants?
cool

Actually, I think obsessive compulsion is the winner here -- but GOG will be happy to accept the prize money on its behalf. ;)
