You can also enrich your experience with the Source Hunter DLC, that comes with two unique in-game items, a digital artbook, design documents and a full original soundtrack.

Divinity: Original Sin is the old-school role-playing title you've been dreaming about. If you were ever imagining how the legendary classics like Baldur's Gate would look and feel like, were they developed today, this is your answer! Larian Studios managed to make good on all of their promises of classic gameplay, extensive world, gripping storyline, and flexible system paired with high production value of contemporary double-A titles. With up to a hundred hours of playtime needed to beat the game with all of its branching stories and tons of optional quests the game can prove to be everything you want it to be, and more! It also takes what's best after the modern games: rich and vivid 3D graphics, an extensive item crafting system, and a finely balanced multi-player mode. Set out to explore the fantastic colorful realm created by Larian Studios, and make a new home for yourself in the vibrant world of Divinity: Original Sin (or even grab some extra Source Hunter DLC gear), on GOG.com. The price of the game varies from region to region, but don't be alarmed! Following the GOG.com tradition we're offering a Fair Price Package with this title, so everyone who is adversely affected by the pricing plan will be compensated with gift-codes (you will find yours in your order confirmation email).

NOTE:
The version of the game offered here comes with the full single-player campaign, but currently supports only LAN/DirectIP multiplayer modes, with on-line multiplayer features coming as a later update, powered by GOG Galaxy, our DRM-Free online gaming platform. Thank you for your patience!

astropup: Hey thanx for the info. I'm waiting for Linux though. :)
avatar
JudasIscariot: Me too :)
The more the merrier. :P

Seriously though, it's good for devs to see there is the interest and that Linux gamers are slowly coming out of the niche. :) What will come out of that, we will see. ;)

Niggles: ouch.did ask them why oh why?
avatar
xyem: Of course. They told me they had to do that because of the multiplayer aspect.

If you read the release blurb from GOG, you'll notice that that excuse doesn't even make sense.
Maybe they where not sure how GOG will handle multiplayer, still they should give you a choice.

Also good to see you again. ^^

oasis789: Wow. This game has been the top seller here for how long now? Even more than TW3 preorders?
avatar
Crosmando: Game has been 1# seller on Steam since it launched, so not surprising, apparently it sold 160k copies in one week.

It's great to see all the people who said traditional CRPGs were dead being given the middle-finger.
It's indeed great.

I'm also happy that the box version, here in Poland, finally come out today, waited 18 days cuz PL version was not ready and, in the end, we will still not get PL version anyway... sigh.

And here... we... GO! :D

Yup, totally works!
Doesn't work anymore. :(

xyem: Larian used to offer GOG code, Steam code and direct download from the Larian Vault ( see KS updates #3 and #44)

I chose the Vault because it was the only option that gave me a DRM free installer and Linux support.

They've removed the Vault option and gave me a Steam key instead.
Same, except I wasn't offered the key

Only had the Steam key, extra Duo key, and the additional add-on key I paid for which became a GOG key

The Vault key is missing :(
Hmm .

Received an email from a CD key reseller store today . They are offering the DRM free version of the game for 9.99 EUR . Looks like someone bought a bunch of GOG codes from Russia .
Bound to be abused more and more as people find a market for it.
Digital goods that aren't regionally priced, of course, don't have this problem.
And some months later:
Be careful with regional pricing as those keys can come back to your home market. Falling rubles can hurt you.
(From someone's summary of Swen Vincke's GDC presentation.)

Did Divinity Original Sin ever get that update to support Galaxy multiplayer? Just curious as it was originally supposed to land in Aug 2014 IIRC but I never kept track of things over time. Other games have Galaxy multiplayer already so I'm curious if DOS also got updated and if not if there are still plans to do so. My assumption is that everyone is waiting for Galaxy client/service to completely come out of beta, is that a correct assessment?

Just a curiosity... Thanks in advance.
CANT WAIT FOR THIS!

Especially the PS4 version.

Announcing Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition!!!

Posted by Larian Studios LLC

Hello Everyone!

Today we are very excited to announce Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition for PS4 and Xbox One as well as PC, Mac, SteamOS and Linux. This isn't just some patch or minor content update to the game you all know and (hopefully) love; it's a whole new experience! With controller support, local co-op with split screen, fully voiced characters, a totally reworked story (with a brand new ending), and much more, we're very proud to finally be able to share what we've crafted here at Larian.

In the update video below, Swen reveals a little more about the fantastic new features you can look forward to in Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cugQ4pS_zOQ
We've also included controller support on PC, so now you can kick back and explore Rivellon from the comfort of your sofa with Steam's Big Picture. We've put a lot of effort into streamlining the experience and have designed a slick, new UI that makes playing with a controller just as intuitive and fun as playing with mouse and keyboard.

As well as local co-op, split screen and controller support, the Enhanced Edition also features:
•All characters are now fully voiced by AAA-voice actors
•New quests, new characters, and new content
•Entirely new gameplay modes and character builds
•A heavily rewritten story with a brand new ending
•Massively reworked visuals and sound effects
•And much more to be announced in the coming months!

A Gift For Our Fans

In appreciation of all the fans who helped make Divinity: Original Sin the success that it was, the Enhanced Edition will be completely free to everyone who owns Original Sin. This is a reflection of our immense gratitude to all of you. We deeply appreciate your support, and the feedback we received from you helped us create and polish this game into something that we're extremely proud of.

A Whole New Game

Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is a completely separate game: not an update to Divinity: Original Sin. Both games will remain available on PC and Mac, and it is important to note that they are totally different entities, so if you've already bought Original Sin you'll see separate listings for Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition in your Steam Library. This means that saved games can't be transferred from Divinity: Original Sin to the Enhanced Edition. This is largely because of the technical changes we've made to how the game looks and feels, but the story has also been rewritten so heavily that most saved games would no longer be compatible with the plot. (After all, it wouldn't make sense to load a game in which you're halfway through a quest line that's been replaced with something different.)

From the very first day of production, we designed the Enhanced Edition to be optimized for DirectX 11 graphics. For our Windows players, this means that Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition will require a 64-bit system and a graphics card with DirectX 11 hardware support. However, both editions of the game will remain available to everyone on Steam, so Windows players with 32-bit systems and DirectX 9 will always be able to play Divinity: Original Sin.

When Can We Play?

As Swen says: "When? When it's ready!" We are committed to giving you the best possible experience and we will not compromise on quality, so it's going to take as long as it'll take. But watch this space, the release date is coming soon!

Are You Ready For E3?

We are! At E3 we'll be sharing much more about Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition's features and gameplay, including the much-anticipated new modes of play.

More background?

Then check out Swen’s blog. He talks about how we came to make the Enhanced Edition and why it’s such an important part of our future plans. In the mean time, if you want more about what we're up to, check out our forums, and follow us on

Nice!
My first reaction was "No, please not". I bought the game at the GOG Release and played maybe 3 or 4 hours but not because of the game, because of my lack of time. And due to experience in the last months (Metro, Dark Souls 2 (etc.)) that "Remastered" or "Enhanced" Editons nowadays require to rebuy the whole game I was disappointed. Then I read the "free update" part. Thanks Larian!

I have the feeling someone forgot something... Can't quite put my finger on it...

(But they say everyone with D:OS will get this, so it must be a genuine oversight, however irritating.)
All characters are now fully voiced by AAA-voice actors
I have a dim idea of what an AAA game is, but does this mean famous actors? Expensive actors? Battery-powered actors?
