JudasIscariot: Are you referring to CDP.pl's price when you mention the $20?
avatar
zeffyr: Exactly, how did you guess? ;-)
Maaaaaayyybe because you're from Poland? And the $20 sounded oddly cheap for a digital copy of D:OS :)

From the little that I know about CDP.pl, their prices are the way they are because they are limited to the Polish market and, for the most part, the games are only in Polish unless they give you a Steam key that leads to a multi-language version of the game. This is taken from my own observation of their public pages and the like, I have no insider knowledge as to how CDP.pl really works :)

Thanks for clarifying that. Gram.pl claims that the game will be available in English and Polish and they provide Steam keys. So I'll pass (I'd rather buy it on GOG, to support you).

TheRealJayDee: Dang it, after listening to some great tracks from the OST I'm back to being excited about the game. I might buy it this week after all...

edit:

Okay, how many tracks are on the OST? Juuuust in case I might actually consider getting the DLC as well... ^_^'
22 tracks.

Elfenheinz: Ugh, too late, i already added my 40€ to Gaben's mountain of cash. :-/
avatar
djdarko: That's Gaben's Doughnut Fund for the record.
Nooooooooooooooooo! Half-Life 3 gets delayed another year every time someone makes a fat joke!

Also, it's just plain rude :-P

FoxySage: 22 tracks.
Thanks for the info! Hm, that's a lot of tracks. I'm still not completely sold on buying the DLC for 10€, but then again I occasionally bought games on sale here only for the soundtrack (for my listening pleasure, or to use for actual pen&paper RPG sessions)... :)

Quickly rushes off to learn Polish, smacks into a pole whilst being too hasty and falls asleep as the sun has risen :)

Even without smacking into a pole, I'm pretty sure you wouldn't manage to learn Polish quickly. ;-P

I won't get to sleep if I keep laughing! :)
Will be considering this in the next few days. We shall see.

Edit: Er, is there any way to add the game AND the DLC to the cart so I don't have to pay for it in two separate transactions?

Laughing is equally good for you. :-)

If you want to buy at CDP.pl's prices, you have to say Grzegorz Brzęczyszczykiewicz, Chrząszczerzewoszyce, Łękołody three times and you have to say it perfectly :P

Ravenvolf: I hope it sells well here as well. If only gog didn't give Steam such a massive head start.
avatar
CharlesGrey: Does it matter? I don't know when this was released on Steam, but if someone prefers GOG/ DRM-free, I doubt they'll buy it on Steam just to play it a little sooner.

Anyhow, not sure if I'll buy this, but it's great to see another "big" title appear here, available without any DRM and mandatory online services.
It does matter, since that is how I came to own the game. Didn't even know gog was going to release the game so bought it of steam. I prefer to have my games DRM Free but still buy games I can't get that way off steam.

There was no clear information on gog or on the official game page saying that it was available on gog so myself, and I suspect plenty of others bought it from steam.

Too late, I will probably pick it up again on gog in a couple of years time when it is on some ridiculous special but for now, steam got the sale.

I think it would help if gog had a clearer way of showing games that is coming out in the future here.

No CDP.pl prices for me then - that is one intimidating row of consonants I couldn't say even once; as for perfectly, I'd have to spend the rest of my life in Poland and I'd most probably still fail. ;-P

IAmSinistar: Der Tötenbus allows us so many indulgences, thanks to its hypothetical existence. :)
avatar
Tarnicus: That one went above my head, and even the translation of "the killing bus" has me trying to weave connective threads that might not have been meant lol
Sorry, I was being terribly oblique. Der Tötenbus is my pet name for that theoretical bus that could kill any of us tomorrow. The ad you shared invoked its menacing present as an excuse to have a fag. And I was merely adding that it is often invoked to excuse any number of our excesses. :)

I'm pretty sure that sequence of phonemes summons a greater demon. ;)

IanM: it seems GOG preempted me and removed this from my wishlist?!

maybe they knew I would be unimpressed by the crappy regional pricing and angered by the appalling rip off DLC

never let principles stand in the way of a good profit :(
avatar
JudasIscariot: Errm that shouldn't be happening. Could you send us a Support ticket?
would there be any point? probably just a glitch from the game going from coming soon to available status, but I've raised tickets for far more serious issues like blank screen on checkout and all support say is browsers on linux aren't supported.

as for the regional pricing and dlc my objections are mostly directed at Larian - they had great crowdfunding and should've priced fairly, they didn't so I'm not sure I could even enjoy the game now
