I cannot emphasise that enough.

If it comes out on Steam, and it's not out within a few hours/a day on GoG, I will pick up the Steam version.
And it really upsets me when shortly after buying something on Steam, it comes out on GoG without any notice.

You're losing customers and also upsetting them by not letting us know that we should wait because a game _will_ be coming.
Not to mention I'm now stuck with another game behind a DRM wall.

The 'new & coming' category seems pointless unless you actually announce coming games.
Steam's coming soon list goes months into the future. It's great for planning purchases.
GoG's.... well...
Unsure if this has been commented on as I haven't read all of the thread yet but once you download D:OS on Steam, you can copy the directory of the game and put it on any computer, thus making it DRM free.

Stupid question: I just bought Original Sin (without DLC) and the purchase summary mail includes a 5.99 code. Something went wrong there, or is this what you get from the fair price package? I'm asking because I've seen people here (39.99 Euro zone) saying they got two "fair price package codes". One for a 5.99 and one for a 9.99 game. I'll donate the code(s) for the BBBBoB anyway... I just wanted to check if this is correct.

I live in Hamburg, but am at work right now a few kilometers out of town. The thermometer right next to me tells me it's 26,6°C inside the house and 26,5°C outside, with 65% humidity. (-_-)'

Than I will definitly wait for a sale. If the Fair Price Package would be Store credit it would be fine, but the codes are kind of "useless" for me.

I made the incorrect assumption that they would be store credit, so they could be used in sales just like Steam wallet cash. That is a real shame to hear :(

akhliber: As D:OS takes place before the other games chronologically, I don't think you'll screw yourself playing this one first. As for your computer, you may be surprised... I'm running it on high specs, but my wife's computer is several years older than mine, and she's running it on low specs quite smoothly. It seems like it'll run quite well on a wide range of systems. Worth looking into before losing hope, at least. :)
That is really good to know, as I'm a sucker for playing games in chronological order :)

JohnnyDollar: They didn't name the games either, the best I recall. They just said 3 AAA games, I think. I remember everyone trying to figure out which ones they were.

That's not satisfactory imo.

Edit: As far as the reaction to that news goes, the reaction was large, but I'm hesitant to assume that very few users don't read the news based on that reaction, because I don't know how many users there actually are. And that's just members that have accounts here. That's not taking into account visitors to the site.
They didn't initially, but as the discussion progressed, TET revealed the three games by title.

Here where I live it's 27°C with 68% humidity (according to Google :p), what a coincidence!

Not sure if it helps, but that's a cool summer day around my neck of the woods, and only 65% humidity is not bad either. Today's high is supposed to be about 28.9 degrees C (84 F), and it's at about 52% humidity: it's a nice mild day. By the weekend, we'll be having 31.7 degrees C (89 F)with 78% humidity, which is getting pretty warm. Of course, we all have air conditioning, too---it's considered a necessity, not a luxury. :D It's not a real heat wave here until we get above 35 C (95 F).

I wasn't even going to comment in this topic but now I gotta.

No, it is NOT Day 1 DLC. To start with, this isn't Day 1 for the game, that was about a week ago, and secondly it's been available pretty much ever since the game went into Early Access on Steam.

It is an optional upgrade to a sort-of Collector's Edition. It contains the OST and some items that were available to Kickstarter backers, which means it will also have the same content (IIRC) as the retail collector's edition bar the second copy of the game. This is no different to how many collector's editions have worked in, well, decades. It is not Day 1 DLC. It is not a scam. It is how Larian and GOG have decided to handle the two editions of the game.

I'm the same way, though I'll make exceptions if I'm either really excited about a particular game or just not particularly excited about a game series' story/universe. Or, in some cases, if the earliest games in a series are just too dated for my tastes.

Even if we threw in a million codes, you cannot trade a single byte for a ray of sunshine. We're good but even we cannot break the laws of physics and other disciplines of science that I might not even be aware of :)
