A true RPG design achievement!

Divinity: Original Sin, the epic-scaled RPG from Larian Studios, very modern but also true to the best traditions of computer role playing games design with its isometric view, story-driven gameplay, and top-notch turn-based combat mechanics, is available for Windows and Mac OS X, DRM-Free on GOG.com! You can also enrich your experience with the Source Hunter DLC, that comes with two unique in-game items, a digital artbook, design documents and a full original soundtrack.

Divinity: Original Sin is the old-school role-playing title you've been dreaming about. If you were ever imagining how the legendary classics like Baldur's Gate would look and feel like, were they developed today, this is your answer! Larian Studios managed to make good on all of their promises of classic gameplay, extensive world, gripping storyline, and flexible system paired with high production value of contemporary double-A titles. With up to a hundred hours of playtime needed to beat the game with all of its branching stories and tons of optional quests the game can prove to be everything you want it to be, and more! It also takes what's best after the modern games: rich and vivid 3D graphics, an extensive item crafting system, and a finely balanced multi-player mode. A perfect mix of classic and new RPG design, if we ever saw one.

Set out to explore the fantastic colorful realm created by Larian Studios, and make a new home for yourself in the vibrant world of Divinity: Original Sin (or even grab some extra Source Hunter DLC gear), on GOG.com. The price of the game varies from region to region, but don't be alarmed! Following the GOG.com tradition we're offering a Fair Price Package with this title, so everyone who is adversely affected by the pricing plan will be compensated with gift-codes (you will find yours in your order confirmation email).

NOTE:
The version of the game offered here comes with the full single-player campaign, but currently supports only LAN/DirectIP multiplayer modes, with on-line multiplayer features coming as a later update, powered by GOG Galaxy, our DRM-Free online gaming platform. Thank you for your patience!
Too late! i already bought it on steam. Would have bought it on Gog if I knew it was coming..

IanM: it seems GOG preempted me and removed this from my wishlist?!

maybe they knew I would be unimpressed by the crappy regional pricing and angered by the appalling rip off DLC

never let principles stand in the way of a good profit :(
avatar
JudasIscariot: Errm that shouldn't be happening. Could you send us a Support ticket?
I think it being removed from his wishlist isnt really the point.
Yay ! :D Gonna pick up at the first sale .
So I backed this on kickstarter and on the day of release I was unable to get a GOG key because Larianvault wasn't allowing me to change from the steam alpha access key to a GOG key despite having chosen that option ages ago.

Now there's an option on Larianvault for me to destroy the steam key but it doesn't clearly state that doing so will allow me to get a GOG key.

Any other kickstarter backers here that can confirm that if I destroy the steam key that's currently in my Larianvault page, that I'll be able to switch to a GOG key?

I don't want to run the risk of screwing myself over :P
Did someone buy Z with the up to 5,99$ voucher? Does it work with reduced titles?

Yes, if you destroy your Steam key you can choose a GOG key instead

The normal price of the game must be equal or lower than the value of the voucher, in this case isn't possible

No, it will only work with titles that are usually priced 5.99$ (or lower).
I love Larian Studio's writing in the Divinity games, but I'm not sure about turn based games (I've admittedly only played a handful of them in my life, and most of them were Pokemon games on the Gameboy/Gameboy Color). For those that have played it or it's beta, does the action flow reasonably well or does every encounter feel like it starts/stops/starts/stops?

Ok, did that and I did indeed get a GOG key but now it claims I need to own Divinity: Original Sin to redeem my code >_> (see attached image)

Edit:

Fixed it, you can't use the redeem page and input it manually, you have to use the link from Larianvault to get it to work.

That is kind of convoluted but it worked! :D

In the beginning it was start/stop etc. but when you get to know the different options and environmental effects it starts to flow. At least that's how it is for me.
But then again I play in co-op and have moments in which I want to kick my husband and scream "Make up your mind and attack, damn it!"

Thank you.

Than I will definitly wait for a sale. If the Fair Price Package would be Store credit it would be fine, but the codes are kind of "useless" for me.

Encounters with larger groups can involve a bit of thumb-twiddling as everyone moves around in turn, but I wouldn't say there was no flow to it--just a slow flow. It's probably hard to tell whether you'd enjoy it if you haven't experienced a truly similar combat system before, I'm afraid.

(Semi-related note: over on Larian's forum there are people wishing for a pause button, for when a battle ends and the game returns to real-time mode while your characters are poisoned or on fire. Having memories of T:ToN's TB vs. RTwP debate, I find it highly amusing that RTwP functionality is now being proposed as an improvement for a game with TB combat.)
I'm guessing that the people complaining about the DLC do not realize the origin of it and have just jumped to the conclusion that these are cash grabs for a game that wasn't even released yet. This is simply not the case. Larian is offering the rewards that were offered to early backers on kickstarter as DLC for those that still really wanted those rewards. This was demanded by the community.

Good job getting it here on your revised timetable, GOG. Now I have the dilemma of whether to buy it immediately in order to show my support of GOG, or hold off for a bit out of solidarity to the One World Price movement. I will be getting it, as well as the soundtrack add-on, just need to decide when.
