For perspective, the original games were low production / low quality games. They were sucessful for their unique ideas and Insane content. Heavily censored when released in the west, which added more hilarity. Even brand new, they were "Simple 2000" titles, meaning they were never more than $20 each.

The first two games were two of my favorite experiences from the PS2. I adored them. Played them multiple times. Wrote a FAQ for the second one. Have been waiting for this one since 2011.

Make no mistake I absolutely will add this game to my library. The nostalgia I have from the first two titles makes owning and playing this one as good as essential for me.

But $100 for what was developed as a "simple 2000" game nine years ago? Even if this version has gone through a huge remastering for this extremely delayed release, there is no way I can justify that price. Especially during these Isolated times.

Ridiculous that NISA is pulling this crap again of not giving GOG customers Achievements for the same identical games that they have released on Steam with Achievements. Charging $60 USD for a feature-removed game is appalling.

$60 might be overpriced but (within reason) GOG shouldn't be concerned about pricing imo. wait for a sale.

Nice release but you know what the crazy thing is? Nisa releases here day 1 trails of cold steel 3 and disaster report 4 but they cant bother to release their disgaea series , phantom brave , operation abyss and some other older games.

I think it's a licensing issue with the original devs, you can't put them drmfree if devs doesn't allow it maybe ? Could explain why some games from xseed publishers aren't on gog.

Man... this... I like the positive attitude on GOG but $60 (same in Euro here) is just unreal pricing... I mean, I get that there are niches with high paying customers (visual novels, simulators, some grand strategy games), but this?

Like, what are they doing when they sit together in their marketing department? "Soon FF7 remake and Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for about €60 and that is the segment we see ourselves in". I will likely try it once it drops below €14 or so.

It looks interesting and Ill pick it up, but Ill be waiting for a sale. I have to look more into it too. I am not familiar with these games and what would inspire me to spend more for it would be an open world and non linear experience. Either way I love the look and all and think it looks fun.

No can do. It is typical for some japanese companies. Either they won't sell the games outside Japan or they account high price for it without any negotiations.

what's limited about the digital limited edition? I'm asking because you released a "digital limited edition" of Trails of Cold Steel 3 by the same publisher, and there was some sort of time-limited offer involved.

That is one crass release, especially at that price point.

I bought Animal Crossing at that price, but it's a console game.

Most games from these japanese developers/publishers start VERY hard on DLCs at the beginning, but they do not produce more DLCs for the same game anymore.

The only time, when additional DLC was created long after game release here at GOG was "Neptunia 1-3" and even that was quite unnormal for that genre. We are not talking japanese AAA publisher here.

Bandai Namco / Tecmo Koei / Capcom would milk the game without end but here? Nope. Expensive at start but "complete". You CAN live without the DLCs for this game, you do not need them...

That they should. I have no problem shelling out 63... *re-checks* 67 $ (...*sigh* GOG! STOP RESETTING MY SETTINGS WHENEVER I GO THE THE SHOPPING CHART ! PLEASE STOP THAT; GET YOUR BUGGY HELL IN ORDER!!! )...

Actually I do start having a problem shelling out 67 $ for the regular version. But still might if I knew that I would really love playing this and a free trial might help.
