Blizzard Entertainment and GOG.COM have teamed up to rerelease select classic Blizzard games, beginning with Diablo®, Blizzard’s legendary 1996 action role-playing game that introduced players to the harsh—and deeply rewarding—world of Sanctuary.

The original Diablo® is available now via digital distribution for the first time ever on GOG.COM. Players looking for the authentic Diablo experience can play the game as it was in 1996, with period-appropriate 20 FPS SVGA graphics, and the ability to matchmake through the classic version of Blizzard’s Battle.net® online-gaming service.

Blizzard and GOG.COM have collaborated on an updated version of the game, which includes out-of-the-box Windows 10 compatibility, and a host of bug fixes. Players can choose either version of the game from a launcher.
I never thought Blizzard would agree to sell some of their games here, you know, them having their own storefront. Good news!
it's been 20 years and I have totally forgotten.

How the hell do I learn spells? :P
You know they're going to want $20+ for D2, and they're still not going to give us a goddamned shared stash.....

You learn them by either finding or purchasing spellbooks. No Diablo 2 level up skill tree here.

Yeah, I knew about the leveling up, but I wasn't sure if it was books or the spells themselves like NWN.

Thank you Grargar :D
Out of the blue!
Really glad to see this here!
Onto page 7 now of all-time bestselling. :)
Instant buy so awesome with the HD mod!

Barry_Woodward: Where does Diablo currently rank on GOG's bestselling of all time list?

#330 out of 2,936 games/DLCs
Page 7 out of 62 (each page has 48 entries) [...]
Just for accuracy's sake, there are 33 Upcoming titles with no price, hence they shouldn't count, imho.

I have a feeling this decision was influenced by the Activision side of the company which right now cares about one thing...... money at any cost.
high rated
A most impressive achievement. Will stay in my library as a reminder that miracles do happen.

gogtrial34987: Currently on the 9th spot on page 9 (out of 62), at 50 items per page.
Let's see how swiftly it'll rise.
I don't think it will rise much farther than it is right now (7th at 7th page) for the next several weeks, but don't forget that this is without any sale against games that had years and plenty of sales to achieve their numbers. And even in this thread I read some people saying its price should be lower. These people are certainly waiting for a sale.

I expect that in the first 25% sale it will reach the second page, with a 50% discount it will reach top 3 games and once it sells 60% off it will be #1.

Also of note; this is day 2 after release. Incredible meteoric rise.
Question - is "Bestselling" (all times or not) based on copies sold or money made?

EDIT: typo (I guess that Bestseeling is based on neither).
