Blizzard Entertainment and GOG.COM have teamed up to rerelease select classic Blizzard games, beginning with Diablo®, Blizzard’s legendary 1996 action role-playing game that introduced players to the harsh—and deeply rewarding—world of Sanctuary.

The original Diablo® is available now via digital distribution for the first time ever on GOG.COM. Players looking for the authentic Diablo experience can play the game as it was in 1996, with period-appropriate 20 FPS SVGA graphics, and the ability to matchmake through the classic version of Blizzard’s Battle.net® online-gaming service.

Blizzard and GOG.COM have collaborated on an updated version of the game, which includes out-of-the-box Windows 10 compatibility, and a host of bug fixes. Players can choose either version of the game from a launcher.

Purchased just as soon as I got home. Not really interested in replaying it, I still remember the pain in my fingers from the last time I finished it mainly using melee combat, but if this helps bringing more Blizzard games, I'm in

Anycone care to comment on what D1 can offer to someone who has only played the 2nd game, and played it to death already? At first glance, D2 seems like an all-round improvement on D1?
Then again, the same can be said about Warcraft 2 vs 1, but there at least the first game has its own unique and fascinating atomsphere. Also, spelunking!

D1 is a more focused, in many ways simpler game, but the setting and atmosphere are unbeatable. Also, better music.

I remember when this came out it forced me to switch to Windows.

Try this mod.

The expansion probably won't come bc it wasn't developed by blizzard and id imagine licensing won't work out but this mod has all of the features.

hehe, so it happened finally, a nuke without the duke release here on gog!
personally, I hope for a Warcraft 3 ReignofChaos+TheFrozenThrone gog release, because that is my alltime fave blizzard game (reforged or not, of course I would prefer reforged but whatever)

48 items per page now, actually. They changed it at some point after the redesign -- presumably so there would always be 16 rows of exactly 3 tiles each (in tiles view, obviously) on every full page of results, rather than (16x3) + (1x1).
