Blizzard Entertainment and GOG.COM have teamed up to rerelease select classic Blizzard games, beginning with Diablo®, Blizzard’s legendary 1996 action role-playing game that introduced players to the harsh—and deeply rewarding—world of Sanctuary.

The original Diablo® is available now via digital distribution for the first time ever on GOG.COM. Players looking for the authentic Diablo experience can play the game as it was in 1996, with period-appropriate 20 FPS SVGA graphics, and the ability to matchmake through the classic version of Blizzard’s Battle.net® online-gaming service.

Blizzard and GOG.COM have collaborated on an updated version of the game, which includes out-of-the-box Windows 10 compatibility, and a host of bug fixes. Players can choose either version of the game from a launcher.

gamesfreak64: Thats bad, however the good old paper manuals are the most important, cd/dvd can be 'repalced' by digital , but manuals ... thats why prefer a paper manual , makes it easier to read while gaming, digital requires either alt tabbing , to show the manual, you can use the pdf on a mobile/ or pad or show it on the 2nd screen if you have one, paper is the best imo.
I know this is old-school, but you do know that you can like, print a pdf if you really want to have it on paper? ;)

idbeholdME: Blackthorne and Lost Vikings 1 and a lite version of Rock&Roll Racing (most of the original music is gone) are already freely available from Blizzard
They were delisted a while back though, and even when they were still obtainable from Blizzard they needed the client.

why do I always sleep in on days when the amazing stuff happens?!

obviously, unbelievable work GOG and Blizzard

I am kind of surprised there are no goodies; did Diablo 1 not really come with any? Manual? (guess I'll have to read the comments to find out, perhaps)

Q: Are other classic Blizzard games coming to GOG.COM?
A: Yes! We have announced that we’re partnering with GOG.COM to release Warcraft: Orcs and Humans and Warcraft II. We’ll reveal more information at a later date.
Now it would be nice if the soundtrack could be included. I would even pay for it.
Congratulations and thank you, GOG! Thank you Blizzard! Congratulations everyone! Although it's not my cut of tea (great game nevertheless), I understand perfectly what it could possibly mean (WC & SC come to mind first)!

Blizzard on Gog is a welcome addition. I was actually was actually wanting to fire up some Warcraft the other day but instead spent three hours tying to figure out what parameters I needed in DosBox then giving up and going to bed. So even though I have Warcraft 1,2 and the expansion discs still in their original cases, I will definitely be picking them up when they get released here. Hopefully very soon!
*slaps face repeatedly*

Yep, reality confirmed. Wow. WOW.

(Hellfire pls?)
