In this long-awaited prequel to the beloved classic Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, John Cooper will join forces with his gang to set things right once again. Desperados III finally arrives DRM-free on GOG.COM. Remember, in this story-driven, tactical stealth game, set in a ruthless Wild West scenery you have to play smart if you want to succeed.
@GOG: Shadow Tactics and Desperados 3 seem to be assigned to two different developer identities in the Store (Mimimi Games and Mimimi Productions). It would be good if these can be linked or merged, so that people can find the other games more easily, given that the store pages themselves do not mention the other games.

Im not so sure its only due to Os that makes this game memory hungry by a large margin
Tainted Grail just recently relased is only 8 GB RAM in system requirments even with windows 10
https://www.gog.com/game/tainted_grail
There are no minumum specs however, so perhaps they havent testet the game on a lot of systems.

Then again there are people that fell 8 gb ram is still too much for games like these

well the thing is windows is the problem :D, i'm referring to the later windozers

XP VISTA 7

i skipped Vista , the name only is already weird
, 7 = a number, XP might be Experience , so those names are ok .

those 3 windozers were pretty heavy , windozer 10 is the worst, it's the boss in being bad and heavy.
The best part of xp and 7 were the last few years, only security patches, no more new bloatware added, the OS was old , and many unneeded processes could be stoppen :D.

That made the XP and 7 a very good OS , Win dozer 10 is here to stay, in the classic impossible mission the welknown phrase was:

"Another visitor , stay a while, ... stay forever ... ( followed by an evil laugh) windozer 10 is evil in way, you cannot disable any process cause everything is vital to the windoze 10, more bloatware is added after every update, it gets "slower" cpu is almost always in turbo mode, too many process are running, many socalled apps can be "turn' off, but they can't like the phone app .

It simply runs too many processes , once it had 160 'processes running tha'ts an awful lot, when i use the taskmanager i see my login name and 30 to max. 45 process/tasks that seem to be running, just like XP and win7 showed :D.

The more ram you add the more 10 seems to consume to "splt" task/processes cause there are lots of "double" running of same process ( they claim that will make it harder for windows to "hang")
Seems if the amount of RAM > 4 GIG RAM , they split up .... ( google result)

This is bad cause win 10 never stops, but stays forever it will only get worse , edge consumes most ram. bandwith, cpu time. etc etc etc, it also "abuses" the network traffic , cause a history in win 10 shows edge on top.
And last but not least the awfull Bing .....

Win10 is very stable and very fast, that much is true, can't deny that, but only if you don't install (too) many games or programs. many old(er) games i have seem to need older NET , BUT windoze 10 doesnt like that, it kinda warns you to install it, win xp and win7 allowed to have different versions, seems you can enable things in 10 but there is a 'warning' that things may be come unstable .

Anyway, what is the use of telling you can install something when at the same time they warn you it might go wrong.

Dont misunderstand me, i thougth the debate/discussion woud be interesting so...
im Not really a windows fan
i used to dual boot Windows and linux but have not been able to do it on the new system i have built yet
first because i dont have enough hD space yet and secondly the boot process at the start goes way too fast with a SSD disk
so im not able to chose as i please compared to what im used too when i used older slower hd,s
Migth be a really easy fix but i have diceded to wait a little until i have more Hd,s
Though ive heard that proton is very good so perhaps il just go full linux sometime in the future

Last patch introduced Linux and Mac support. I see that GOG hasn't updated the gamecard yet.

Because Linux and Mac builds aren't available on GOG yet.

Well, good point. I guess you'll have to wait a little longer.

Thanks to both of you, I actually saw the update but did not know if the Linux installers are included in it. I’ll keep waiting then, I am not going to buy it without a DRM-free Linux version.

ThomNG: Wohoooo! Finally available! Enjoy!
Linux version came out on Steam. Is it coming to GOG too?
