In this long-awaited prequel to the beloved classic Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive, John Cooper will join forces with his gang to set things right once again. Desperados III finally arrives DRM-free on GOG.COM. Remember, in this story-driven, tactical stealth game, set in a ruthless Wild West scenery you have to play smart if you want to succeed.
12 GB RAM if you use windows 10?
why so much more use of memory simply because of a newer OS?
The game only demands 8 GB if you use windows 7.
Not that it really matters to me, since i do have more than the required specs
but i sometimes wonder about the huge demands in Memory for such games as these.

That is easily explained: it's not the games fault, WIN 10 is too blame

WINDOZE 10:

RAM hungry
CPU hungry
GPU hungry
DISK hungry ( very large updates)

has way too many ""apps" running which can be 'turned off' ( but not 100%)

EDGE and BING like to use a nice amount of CPU time
they also like to make lots of use of the network
Cortana is just plain crpware

once win10 had > 150 processes running : all genuine process
and the beat goes on, its an endless list ....

+ points : ??? ٩◔‿◔۶ it starts up very fast but that is mainlky because of the 9700K and the WD ( 7200 rpm)

Anyway that might explain why it need lot's of RAM , because of WIN 10.

I know but ...... i am a dumb window refugee :D thats why i am tied to the use of klik n play OS
most of the time it is windows 10 that is bad .... the worst part is this win 10 will never go away

Win7 was a hog at first, like win xp, cause i got used to using win98se clones, after i changed the look to xp to more classic look i could easily find everything , same goes for win 7, once i used the "xp"look i had no problems with win 7.

Anyway, win 10 can't be changed, the tweaks with aero stuff and more 'tricks like that will probably ínvalidate' my win 10... so i have to stick with this awful piece of dog poo windows 10 :D

Stockholm syndrome ;P

You know that a lot of Linux distributions, like Ubuntu or Linux Mint, are actually click & play ones, right? And by no coincidence, these are the ones supported by GOG. Meaning they are legally bound to provide you with help running your games on these ;)

Sorry, but the regional pricing makes it a no no. It costs as much as Doom Eternal here in Russia, which was already 1/3 of some people's monthly income. The thing is, DE deluxe was 90$, so why does Desperados cost just as much?

Hey, friends. Thank you very much for the respect you have with GOG users, launching your games here, on the same day of the other platforms, and with full support for Galaxy.

In particular, my thanks for always translating your games into Brazilian Portuguese.

Desperados III is not my style, but I pre-ordered Spongebob this afternoon.

It shouldn't be difficult to add another drive to your computer for such experiment.
Played it for few hours yesterday, it's totally awesome! Shadow Tactics vibes all the way, but upgraded mechanics and awesome setting seal the deal. I love how the graphics improved and sound effects along with music make me feel like I'm in the Wild West myself :)

Small question though: why the Season Pass doesn't show as 'owned' for Deluxe Edition owners? I know the content isn't there yet, but I don't see any reason why isn't in my library.
