Be decisive. Be deadly. Be Delta Force.

Delta Force, a series of highly tactical FPSs where your reflexes are as important as your planning, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com! Get them separately for 66% off or grab them all together for 75% off.

In war, sometimes tactics are all you can rely on to pull off that surgical hit which will decide the victor. Delta Force has tactics in spades, from the series' original game to Delta Force 2, Delta Force: Land Warrior, Delta Force: Task Force Dagger, and the intense later entries, Black Hawk Down and Delta Force: Xtreme. That means you must make all necessary preparations and work together with your team of special operatives as you head in and try to assassinate high-profile targets, sabotage enemy equipment, or escort key personnel to safety. Not an easy task, but hey, there's a reason it was assigned to you!

To further enhance your Delta Force experience, we've included some minor fixes, courtesy of the great people over at the NovaHQ community. These do not alter the games in any way -graphically or otherwise- but they do iron out some bugs and offer a fully-functional multiplayer solution via the community servers. This applies to all games except Delta Force: Xtreme.

NOTE: Access to the official NovaWorld lobbies for online multiplayer is currently not available. We're working on resolving this issue and will keep you posted on our progress.

The 66/75% discounts will last until March 27, 2 PM UTC.

Matewis: Has anyone tried DF1 yet? The only way I can get the game to work is in windowed mode, but the very weird thing is: in windowed mode the mouse only works on the menu, but it doesn't work in the game. I can run around shoot with left click etc. but I can't look around :-\
That's normal for Windowed Mode (at least for DF1). Does it give you an error in full screen mode?
Is this the series that had the neat triangular boxes in stores back in the day?

I swear I know that logo and name just from their boxes...or maybe I'm mixing it with some of the old Thief boxes...hehe

In any case, PC game boxes used to be awesome, even if large and in charge on your shelf.

In fullscreen? No, the mouse is just very laggy on the menu screen. And ingame the game runs seemingly normally, except that it's stuck on the first screen. I can only hear the action in the background from running around and shooting.

Matruchus: Is Delta Force Extreme a reworked version of Delta Force 1?
avatar
tkullander: Yes, Delta Force Xtreme is basically the original Delta Force 1 using the same updated engine that was used for "Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising". The campaigns have been altered to support vehicles, more building that you could enter, and of course a lot fancier graphics. The original Delta Force required a bit of patience, wherein Delta Force Xtreme feels much more arcady than the original. For example, the briefings are simplified, less immersive menus and you even score points for every enemy you kill. In the unpatched game, you even heard a annoying "ding" every time you killed an enemy. Luckily, in the first patch they added an option to remove this sound.

Delta Force Xtreme 2 is a remake of the original Delta Force 2, in the same style as Delta Force Xtreme. It is not very good, but it would be nice to see the complete collection here on GOG.
Thank you for the explanation. I think I will stay with the original Delta Force 1+2 then. Those are the only Delta Force games I played and I really loved them.

Marioface5: Are these squad-based games where you have to give orders and/or control multiple people, like in SWAT 4?
It is nothing like swat. In some of the campaign missions you have a squad that follows you but their movement is scripted based on mission events.

I might actually enjoy these then. Thanks!

It's working fine for me. I set the 800x600 resolution, full screen. First time I had to tab out to answer the question about the firewall, and when I tabbed back it was working perfectly fine. Using Win10 and an Nvidia card.
Yesssss my childhood! I got tears right now GoG! All I need now is money and time to get them! Thank you! <3

If you have a high end video card, try disabling some of the high end features like Nvidia DSR - Factors etc. You may also try changing the resolution in game to something like 640x480 or 800x600. Also if you have SLI, it might help to disable it (if that's possible)...

Check some videos, they might still be interesting. Delta Force: Land Warrior and Delta Force: Task Force Dagger is still in the same style as the two previous games, and less archaic. I can definitely recommend them, especially at the launch price.

Delta Force: Black Hawk Down seems to be the most popular one, and I remember having a good time playing it back when it was released. More voice-acting and story in that one compared to the others.
Nice games and a nice discount. Bought them all. :-)

Cool, glad to hear it :) I think this might be a laptop issue

Thanks but no, I don't have a high end card. I'm trying to running the game on my laptop.

huan: Gog has apparently entered a period of "nothing for you, sorry". First toy soldiers, now this... Too much realism for my taste, realistic war feels too ugly to enjoy. Give me fireball in one hand and sword in another and horde of green-blooded monsters to slaughter. Or at least a neat sci-fi powersuit to go with the realistic gun. But some people are getting what they want which helps gog overall, which is good too. It's not like those releases crowd out Oblivion or anything. I can wait. And burn through some of my backlog... Or rebuild yet another world in Craft the world in hunt for the elusive Professional miner achivement.
Toy Soldiers is Realistic???????????????????
And there is not exactly a lack of fantasy games on GOG......

Ah the memories... from Delta Force 2. I was so young back then... I had not even the slightest idea what to do, cause I didn't understand much of english back then. Still played. Died. Cheated on singleplayer and then got stuck cause I still didn't know what to do. Played multiplayer, meet cheating people online, who flied and used LAW's as machine guns.

Good times.
