A dystopian game from 1C Entertainment has just received a new edition, which includes the upgraded base game and 2 DLC packs. Deep Sky Derelicts: Definitive Edition is now available DRM-free on GOG.COM with a 28% discount until 30th March, 4 PM UTC. Take command of a squad of mercenaries, win tactical turn-based battles, and explore ships within your reach in search of loot.
It's cheaper to buy the game and DLC separately vs the definitive edition right now in Canada. I bet it's the same in other regions.

True, I can confirm that for Poland it's also the thing (especially if you already own at least 3 games from the "special" 1C promo.

14.59 EU ?

anyway it's not my type of game and it probaly wont run that well on quad 2.66 ghz
many games ask for i3 for minimum but usually they refer to the newer i3 and those are > 2,66 ghz ٩◔‿◔۶
If it needs a 3ghz i'm sure it would be able to run on 2.5 GHz, problem is the majority uses Unity
to develop games..... so they are'nt used to do more with less like the 90's developers had to do.

oftentimes buying the base game and the upgrade/dlc/whatever separately works out cheaper on gog than the all-in-one editions, as weird as it is. and other oftentimes it's cheaper to re-buy the base game with the dlc in one pack than buying only the dlc for your base game, which is ridiculous.

yup it's ridiculous. but this is going on for a very long time so we are getting used to it.

Anyway, with the current situation things are at a "stop" ( hardware prices going up) so unless games arrive that run quad 2.66 ghz and win7
at recomm. and the game is a game i like, i cant buy games till i have a new setup... so its whislisting till nex year .
Is there any new content in the Definitive Edition?

EDIT: I see there is a new patch for the normal game version. It´s more than 700 Mb, so I guess there is some new content.

And there are even situations (like mine) where you can get stuck between these two states:
I have a game bought and the first Expansion to it. But buying a second Expansion is simply not profitable, because it is nowhere to be sold cheaper than with a 40% discount. And the Definitive version of the game (including the game itself and two add-ons) is available at a discount of 60% and as a result costs only a few dollars more than this second expansion alone.
As a result, it’s not profitable for me to buy this expansion at almost the price of Definitive version, but to give even more money for Definitive version, most of which I already have (base game + first expansion), is also not profitable for me.
As a result, all this disgrace ended in the fact that I did not begin to resolve this issue in favor of any of the options. I think such stupid sales strategies deserve exactly zero dollars zero cents and this cannot be encouraged with money.

It's just a simple bundle with base game + 2 DLCs.
Here's the official reply regarding Definitive Edition:

It's a pure 2D game... it should run on a toaster.

Can confirm. It runs on my laptop with an Intel Celeron 2.16 Ghz and 4 GB RAM. Loading is a little slow but it's entirely playable.

you just said the magic word : toaster
my old setup is less than a toaster

, like i said before in previous posts, a new build is coming very soon....

The old rig which is less than a toaster or potato and can only run (some) games well, lot's of simple HOG are even to much for the old dinosaur PC :D
Anyway the Artifex HOG run well so it's time to start playing 90% of the games i havent even played yet.

slowness is not the major problem with my ancient setup , nor speed or lag ingame.... cpu (ab)use is the main issue.
