Surfin' the highway.

Death Road to Canada, an outrageous road trip simulator about managing a vehicle full of unpleasant people that the zombies still find tasty, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 10% launch discount.

Crowded vehicles are scientifically proven to bring the worst out of humans and this one is no different; it's full of obnoxious morons who want to cross a sea of undead on a car - and you must help them! Step on it and overrun the brainless hordes, or proceed on foot and throw large pieces of furniture at them. Every now and then your horrible passengers will claw and bicker at each other about how to handle the Interactive Fiction events, so it's again your job to help resolve matters without (much) bloodshed. This post-apocalyptic highway is a regular madhouse: survivors with weird abilities, unusual weapons, rare events, a shotgun-wielding puppy - it has it all! All but a steady hand to sort out the mess and keep the growling pedestrians from jumping on board without a ticket.

Make your way through hundreds of pixelated undead as your car hits the Death Road to Canada, DRM-free on GOG.com.
The 10% launch discount will last until September 13, 12:59 PM, UTC.

Silverhawk170485: Seems to be like Organ Trail.
My thoughts exactly. Looks like a fun game and the co-op multiplayer should be even more fun. And on top of that, I dig the trailer's music -- I hope the whole soundtrack is just like that.
Ok, you know, I was joking before, but seriously now- enough with the shitty pixels. Make some proper graphics, for fuck's sake. I was kinda sorta able to see the appeal of Owlboy (not really, but if someone likes that sort of stuff then maybe), but this is plain butt-ugly.

Enough with the randomly generated survival ugly pixel stuff. This game looks like everything to dislike about indie gaming rolled into one. Meanwhile, there are so many great looking games that we should get here

Seasons After Fall

Kelvin and the Infamous Machine

Hollow Knight

Aviary Attorney

That's just the tip of the iceberg. GOG's releases make it look like the indie scene is far, far more unoriginal and limited than it actually is.

The game is quite funny. Even better if played with a friend.
Made me remember the old days of 2-players on the same PC :)
Meh, gog curation at it's best.
Yeeeees! I wanted it on Steam but getting it here is even better!

Maxvorstadt: Another pixel art RPM?
Another pixel art basher ? :P

Cool release, I'll wishlist it for now, looked cool enough.

murkki: Probably because developers did lot's of bug squashing and balance tweaks after initial release.

. Big Update 2 will likely focus on splitscreen co-op and possibly Steam Workshop mod support!

So... you're deaf, then?

muntdefems: Incidentally, they never talked about GOG in their Kickstarter page. The DRM-free version was supposed to be released through Humble, but as I'm writing this the Humble Store still sells this game as a Steam key only...

Djaron: well, don't know if it willl lift your worries or thicken them up...

but i already bought a handful of games on humble store in the past because they were advertised/labelled on HB Store as available in DRM FREE format (they have a logo for platforms)... only to find out the drm free version didnt exist/were not available yet, for the moment, and it kept being unavailable for months (but finally the drm free build appeared in my HB library some day)

from what i can remember, the two games like that i finally got drm free build mo,nths (one year even) after were:
Starbound
Melody Escape

So, my call is: ifyou buy a game that is advertized as available drm free on humble store and when you get it on your library you get no drm free build, dont wait... immediatly request a refund on the base of false advertising.
Errr... not sure how does what you say relate to what I said earlier. My point was that I was surprised this game got released here when the devs had never mentioned GOG as a potential venue for a DRM-free version of the game. They instead talked about releasing a DRM-free, Steam-free version on Humble, but they haven't done it as of yet. I just want a DRM-free, Steam-free, standalone version of the game, and I don't care if it comes through GOG or Humble. Now it's available here I'd prefer a GOG key over a Humble key, but I won't make a fuss about it if I get the latter.

As per your other point (games with alleged DRM-free installers on Humble that turn out not to have them), I fell for that once. I don't remember the game, but it was advertised as having DRM-free versions for Windows/Mac/Linux but the Linux one was missing (or maybe all three of them). I of course asked for a refund, and to Humble's credit, I got it quite quickly.

I've experienced the opposite case too: games which the Humble Store lists as only providing a Steam key that nonetheless have DRM-free installers too. Right of the bat I can only remember About Love, Hate and the other ones, but I know there are other cases.

Painted_Doll: nvm
Does that mean I need to retract or apologize for my last post to you? :D
