How do you kill that which has no life?

DEADBOLT, a visceral stealth-action hybrid about bringing Death to the doorstep of those who missed the memo, is now available DRM-free on GOG.com.

Knock knock. Who's there? Not you, not anymore.

If that joke was any better, you would now be laughing in the face of Death. You really don't want to do that. But it's exactly what these arrogant undead have been doing as of late, forcing the Grim Reaper to come a-knocking to put them out of commision for good.

Naturally, Death is a pretty effective dude when it comes to, well, death-dealing. And despite their defiant name, the undead will learn to fear the reaper's formidable murder skills and firepower. But by some cruel cosmic arrangement, Death constantly lingers just one bullet away from extinction, so sneaking behind enemies is not such a bad idea either. The cool thing is, he can choose to complete any of the 25 demanding missions in any way he sees fit: storming the smelly undead hideouts in full force, taking them out with stealth assassinations, or adapting to the challenge by alternating between these two approaches. All his gruesome antics are beautifully depicted in a dynamic fashion, so no matter which of the 30+ weapons you use when extracting the "un" from the undead, the results will be drop-dead gore-geous.

Become Death incarnate and teach these unruly undead a much-needed lesson in nature's laws in DEADBOLT, DRM-free on GOG.com.

tremere110: Probably talking about the bug that plagued Risk of Rain for 3+ months before it was fixed on GoG. Steam ran fine but many GoG users would have the game crash after a few minutes of playing.

It sucked. GoG offered a refund to me at least because of it - I didn't take because I could play other games but still...
I remember that.
Even DRM-free build from HumbleBundle ran smoothly.
That's other thing that I brought it on GOG after I played 1000+hours on steam. :P

was it that bad? the bugs i mean, i dont have the game , neverplayed the game, i do know the game.
its a small bunch of pixels again, i guess that ninja game is way better, Ronin, i do have that game.

if you like mayhem and lots of kaboom, you better get Bro Force, i dont like platform (i only have unepic)
Bro Force is better then this deadbolt pixel game.

If GoG can get ShadowsOnTheVatican episode 1 and 2 are out [ 5.99 per episode ) (there will be 4 eps) and games like Lost Chronicles of Zerzura(9.99 list price (steam) i buy them at once
.
Like i said times before i dont mind more of the same games , that is same type but other story graphics and backgrounds, i dont feel the need to have 10000s totally unique games , i like 100000 the same style games but different stories, scenes and characters.

And here we were speculating Max Payne. LOL...
I'm a simple man. I see the reaper himself lockpickin' and I'm all like "whaaaat?" ;D

Controller support gotta be a go on this one..

i guess almost anyone wants that game... i cant play 3d (motions) games so i avoid these, but i do know that most people like this game, but you cant always get want you want i guess.
However we can hope things might come eventually.

I just noticed Obscuritas, its a FPP but in an adventurous way i guess cause its main caller is Adventure, imho
judging from the screenshots and videos it looks more like a FPP (3d) shooter with a storyline then a true point and click adventure, when i see adventure i usually think of real click adventure, not 3d or fpp shooter like adventures.
So i was happy, but a bit sad after i read it was a 3d fpp, so no possible buy for me.

It's not needed as there's no jumping around :) Plays quite well with the keyboard and under Wine :D

Actually I have played it OVER 1500+ hours.
Around 4-5 hours everyday for more than a year.

I haven't been able to run Mini Metro for several releases now. The devs gave up answering complaints, too. Never had a problem with Risk of Rain, but at least they fixed it for others eventually.

amrit9037: Don't they include music in .ogg format in game folder?
They did. If this game does the same then I'll be less worried about an official OST release.
low rated
R.I.P. quality control .
Reminds me of Not A Hero.

Oh, thanks for the headsup, Judas! :)

PaterAlf: Reminds me of Gunpoint, but that's not a bad thing. I think I'll pick it up.

IAmSinistar: My first impression as well. And for me, being from the Risk of Rain folks is a good thing. I might have passed it by otherwise, but they are good at putting depth below their pixelly surfaces.

EDIT: Also reminiscent of Not A Hero, probably has play elements similar to that as well.
Yeah, it reminded me of Gunpoint too. But I would hope it would have a better save system!

I didn't have an issue with Gunpoint, though it was a pretty short game so it didn't have much time to become problematic. I blazed through it in an afternoon. Good game.

Did you try the Humble version of Gunpoint? That's the version I bought and for some reason it never saved properly. It was really annoying.
