Exile on pain street.

Dead in Vinland is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com, 10% off until April 19, 3pm UTC.
Exiled from your village. A family disgraced. No time for despair, though. Time to roll up your sleeves and make a new home for yourselves on this strange island. Survive the hardships, manage everyday tasks, explore, interact with its curious inhabitants and face a savage foe. RPG mechanics meet non-linear storytelling in a dramatic tale shaped by your own harsh decisions.
I began to wonder why it was only three stars, but then I realised I'm here at GOG. There's an obvious mentality around here.
sweet black baby jeezus who writes the copy for this shit? exile on pain street? phar kin Elle!!
Looks interesting, hope it's one of the rare hybrids that have there own spirit...bought.
What about the original? It was given out for free on Origin this month i think but i'd rather have a GOG copy.
Is there a reason why this game has no GOG forum yet ?

Better yet, does anyone know of a forum where we can give the devs feedback ?

Unfortunately it was rejected by GOG the first time... but they'll try again to release it here soon.
I found the wishlist, maybe it can help the cause:

Don't know why many recent games don't have a dedicated forum, but the devs are pretty active on Discord:

Decided to bite the bullet, and definitely not disappointed.

Not only does it look shiny, it plays really well. It's not a fast game, but there is a lot to consider every turn.

Not sure why anybody would call it a bad game. It's a survival/management "sim" with a side order of tactical combat, and there is nothing wrong with any of the parts.
Out of curiosity, any idea why there is no forum for the game itself?

Or reviews on the store page, for that matter - I know I dropped one yesterday myself, still not showing.

Weird.

I was thinking that they might add Dead in Bermuda soon and, as usual, make only one entry in the forum, like "Dead in..." series.

That's another very strange rejection. I played Dead In Bermuda all weekend (free from Origin) and I think it's excellent.

I'll defenitely be picking up Vinland soon.
Think i will pick this up at some point as does look interesting but will have to wait for a sale as trying to save some money for a new house

Where do you live when around $18 USD makes a difference in house purchase budget? O.O

Ironically, I just had a discussion with somebody a few days ago, where the subject was breached. According to our calculations, it would take about 360 years of strict savings for somebody working in our area for the average wage (which is vastly inflated by the fact a lot of financial business hangs around the place, and most people earn less) to get a decent place in the middle of the sticks.

Then again, I'm living the American Dream™ without having the good sense to be born to rich parents (or uniquely talented).

If you're saving for a house and the spouse finds out you spent some of your money on a game, $18 makes all the difference in the world. ; )
