A new D&D perspective.

<span class="bold">D&amp;D Stronghold: Kingdom Simulator</span>, a D&D strategy game, is available now for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux - DRM-free on GOG.com

You've fought for kings, slayed evil creatures, and saved kingdoms. Now, it's time to build your own empire, D&D style. D&D Stronghold: Kingdom Simulator is a huge, ambitious game. It's no simple task to single handedly run a kingdom - but here, you'll be tasked with just that: from maintaining resources and infrastructure, through managing armies and leading them to battle. Should you persevere, you'll be rewarded with seeing your very own kingdom rise up to glory. In all this, you'll encounter everything that you know and expect from D&D lore and style including mighty heroes and powerful mages. Throughout all this, you'll have to decide for yourself - whether you're a good, lawful ruler, a chaotic, evil overlord, or somewhere right in between.

I was waffling on the instabuy because of the backlog, but after reading those reviews I realized how stupid it was for me (personally, of course) to not instabuy at only $5.99. Thanks GOG!

arxon: Can people please refrain from writing reviews and giving game a lowest score with the sole purpose to express their disagreement with GoG pricing policy? It's really childish. The reason I read review is to find out what people who actually played the game like or disliked about it.
Also since when are we judging how much is game worth based on the size of the game in MB/GB? That's even more superficial than graphic standards.
Completely agree. I've seen cosmetic DLC crap sell for more. How dense can some people be?
i know many many old games, had to google for this one :D
watched me some tubevideos, seems its a wannabe of fpp and '3d' like game, its a weird combination
Oh my, another fantastic release.

Thank you so much GoG.com team, gonna get this one really soon.

Yeah. Was surprised about low ratings too till I read the reason. Stupid.

JinseiNGC224: I'd really appreciate if anyone with sense in their brains could stop reviewing these games 1 star because they think a cheap price tag of $5.99 is "too much". It doesn't matter on the file size. What does matter is what GOG has to do to get these games to you in the first place, from the legal fees to get the games in the first place, making them work, and getting them online, among other things I probably don't even realize as hidden costs. If anything, we're lucky it's not $20. If you want it the legal and right way, pay the $5.99 and be grateful it's even here.

I bought this the second it came on here. Because damn it, it's so awesome just to see it here. I also scored Al-Qadim Genies Curse. Because it's D&D, and I love this site for all it's hard work.

I left a review myself, but it's the opposite of a lot of these bogus reviews.

whystler2012: I simply do it the other way than writing negative reviews or griping about the price: I simply wait till the inevitable sale that puts it on discount along with the other SSI gems i still want.
If anyone wants to wait for a sale that's fine. Everyone has their established budget based on what they can afford, or maybe they even out their gaming expenses over many titles on sale. That still adds up. But this base price is nowhere near unattainable by anyone who is willing to pay the severely misunderstood low price tag.
In addition if any of these low raters because price read this: Would you give a bugged mess of a game that sucks to no end and is as insulting as it is painful to play because of its awfulness give a high five superstar rating because its on a really really low price?
"This is one of my favorite games of all time, but five bux is a ridiculously high price".

WAT.

LOL I know what you mean. If you cant pay a hamburger price to your all time favorite game, I dont know what you spend your money on.
Is this the first time this one (and al-qadim, too) gets released digitally?
If so, where the hell (:P) is that glorious "digital premiere" golden certificate of GOGness? :(
Very nice. I used to have this on 3.5" disk. buying a copy asap.

Dungeon Hack next please.

I can say that when GOG went all ruskie, those seals on Sea Dogs/Galactic Assault saying "hey kiddo, it's the goddamn first time this wild beast is released online" were instabuys for me, as I live in a country where these games didn't even make past the tutorial level in terms of publishing :(
