Lady vengeance.

Darksiders III is now available DRM-free on GOG.com.

Taking over from her perpetually vexed brothers War and Death, the agile Fury now unleashes herself upon The Seven Deadly Sins, determined to whiplash some balance back into this wretched, post-apocalyptic world. Hack-n-slash action ensues, peppered with platforming antics and puzzles, all done in the stunning signature artstyle of the series.

Grab the Deluxe Edition which includes the game's Soundtrack, plus two DLC packs that add gameplay content (those will become available sometime after release).
Or go for the all-inclusive Blades & Whip Edition, which contains the whole trilogy in one pack to last you until the apocalypse.

Point_Man: Also, any chance of getting the original Darksiders 2 or Darksiders 1 added as bonuses to the remastered version?
I know original Darksiders 1 was sold on GOG but i'm not sure if Darksiders 2 ever was. Either way both being added as bonuses with their respective remastered versions would be nice.
The original Darksiders 1 is already included with the Warmastered version. As for 2, negative:

Ya i have the original Darksiders 1 on GOG, but i'm not sure if that was because i already owned it before the remastered version came here or not. So i'm not sure if new purchases of the Warmastered version get the original included. I was just asking about it for others, if it turned out that it's not included in new purchases. The store page doesn't seem to advertise the original version so i'm not sure.

As for the original of the second game, that's too bad. Seems like maybe it's a matter of the effort required to get the original + DLC set up as a bonus? Just guessing.

Thanks for that link.
Game seems all over the place with less identity than the over-long Darksiders 2.
Main criticism by rockpapershotgun, summarized by the user Lifthrasil in the pre-order thread:

"So it's unbalanced, jumping in difficulty. (that was annoying in Darksiders 2, already, and reads worse here)
Plus badly placed checkpoints. (one of the mortal sins of game design)
Minus free saving. (another mortal sin)
Plus lots of crashes (according to Polygon) "

Far out, I have #1 already installed.

Getting my ass kicked.

Are these games easier with a pad or a mouse?

I'm sure the reviewers that complain about Darksiders 3 having lost its path have their reasons.

Personally, I'm loving this game so far. Fury looks awesome, kicks ass, and has tons of personality. I really like her. Her moves feel perfect too. And the story so far is engaging enough.

I will agree though that two things are annoying me a bit. Firstly, the difficulty has been cranked up a fair bit and I'm not sure I like it. Secondly, and this is the main thing: Like in previous Darksiders, there's no way to save manually. That really is a no-go for a game coming out on PC, folks. But even worse, the save points are sometimes really far off, making trucking back a chore. I'm hoping that we'll get a few more sensibly placed save points with one of the next updates.

@tinyE: You and me both. I do feel though that there's a big learning curve that makes stuff easier as you gain in experience and learn how and when to dodge. It doesn't help that sometimes the difficulty jumps around a bit, for example, the first demon boss was a oneshot, while those big skeleton no-names absolutely devastated me several times consecutively...
Geez jim Sterling is blasting the game for how bad it is.

Plus the game is sort of a prequel to Darksider one and it does not add anything to the Darksiders lore and culture.
I am apprehensive about buying the game now.
Hey, I'm having a big problem with my copy of the game and was curious if anyone has the same problem.
Did anyone else pre-order the Deluxe Edition, only to get the standard edition?
Because I bought the Deluxe Edition but I didn't get what I paid for.
Anyone else?

EDIT: Hey just to let every one who wants to know, my issue here was fixed by GOG Support, Cheers!

#1 was fun, #2 a chore then a bore, and #3 appears to be even lesser than its predecessors. No, thanks.
War, Hunger, Death and Disease... and Fury! err.. It looks nice though & will probably get it when my backlog is a tad less overloaded :)

Storepage mentions it, but it's such a tiny line of text that makes it easy to miss it.

I think I'll wait for a few more updates before taking a second look at it, given the mixed reviews
I played two/three hours and my feeling currently :

It's very similar to the previous games, obviously.

I play in max difficulty and it's definitely harder than DS2 Death edition max difficulty.

I haven't noticed any obvious bug yet or crash on, at least on my PC, the performances are stable.

The combat is very similar to the previous entries even thought I have to admin that I sometime have issues estimating the range of the whip. It still had the same issues than the previous one, as in, the funky camera, and with the added difficulty it's very easy to get exterminated because you didn't see the an enemy ready to jump on you. The combat is also very buttons-mashy but if you played any of the other two then it shouldn't be a surprise.

The checkpoint system doesn't bother me too much, yes you don't re-spawn exactly where you die, and "dark soul style" you have to recover your body if you want to get your resources back, but then you don't have to watch again the cinematic and can easily skip directly to the boss or to where you die avoiding the enemies. Maybe it will become an issue later but currently it's not the case.

Concerning Fury as a main characters I don't know yet, she, at least for now (again only two/three hours) , she appear more "bratty" than the other two, so could say that she is even more "warlike" than War. But I suppose things will probably changes later as the plot advance.

tl.dr, If you played the previous two it is basically, at least for now, more of the same, same pros and same cons (like the camera) and I didn't notice any serious bugs.

And if anything good point for actually starting the game on earth instead than in generic fantasy land of giant-dwarfs ike the second one.

Early Reviews, FROM VERIFIED OWNERS: 4.3 /5

That's an 86% approval rating. Mother Theresa only ever topped out at 74%! :D

As soon as I finish #1 and #2 I'm buying.
