Sins of the father

D: The Game, a psychological horror adventure through dark family secrets, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The halls of a big Los Angeles hospital are riddled with dead bodies, the gruesome work of a mass murderer. Several other innocent people have been taken hostages by the madman, who has barricaded himself inside. When Laura Harris, a scholar in San Francisco, finds out, she rushes to the hospital to investigate. Why? The man responsible for the bloodbath is the well-respected supervisor of the hospital and also her father.
Time is not on Laura's side, however, as she only has two hours to navigate the shifting realities of the hospital, overcome the challenges in her path, and try to solve the most sinister puzzle of all: the reason why her quiet father turned into this bloodthirsty monster.

Explore a hospital drenched in blood and discover the dark forces that guide your father's killing hand in D: The Game, DRM-free on GOG.com.
D-parting from the puns (not), judging by the MobyGames entry this is one P&C I'll be skipping (too far over my "Ewww" limit), but I'm glad it came to GOG.

JudasIscariot: The French version of the game.
Really ? I though it was a porn joke ! Are you trying to save my innocence, Judas ?

Ackwastaken: Wow, GOG, I did not see this coming. Been years since I got to play the D. Now I'm gonna be all over it.
Dammit with these "The D" jokes, lol. :P I guess it has been a long time though. Over 20 years now when "The D" jokes probably didn't even exist.

"D"at price though.
PS - so its just dos version with dosbox and interlaced FMVs? Bummer, i thought it will be slight remaster..
Is D game only 2 hours long? That's what D D scription says.
Wonder how this game plays on PC... The console version's controls were weird. I hope this is more like a traditional Adventure game, with an on-screen cursor and all.

EDIT: Here's a cool Wired story about Kenji Eno. Apparently he deliberately tricked the publisher to get D out with no censorship, swapping discs through the approval process.

D2 on the Dreamcast is SUPREME.
D is also amazing. Way to go, GOG!
YEEEEEEEEEEEEAH :p
Played this on Playstation a loooong time ago. Seem to remember it has a time limit of something like 40 minutes, which basically means it's impossible to beat before you gradually figure out the puzzles after restarting the game multiple times. And even after figuring out what to do to beat the game within the time limit there are some obstacles that are extremely hard to get past because of control issues. I distinctly remember constantly finding myself stuck in some kind of pit, helplessly watching the time running out. No save mechanism either I think.

Will I buy it? Of course!! (but I may wait for a sale...).

I don't remember reading anything particularly positive about this.
Or perhaps I'm confusing it with another game called D.

If you can beat it in 2 hours. I found it pretty hard and never got far when I played it, then again I kinda suck at the adventure genre. :P
Do we get the sequel too, DD?

tinyE: Does this come with D manual?

Wah, those screenshots.... So exagerated that it looks more like a "retro" filter than what we had back in the days.

So, is there an option in-game to remove scanlines and interlacing???

Yeah, the controls were kinda odd, I think we're all going to need a manual gog.
