Sins of the father

D: The Game, a psychological horror adventure through dark family secrets, is available now for Windows, Mac, and Linux, DRM-free on GOG.com.

The halls of a big Los Angeles hospital are riddled with dead bodies, the gruesome work of a mass murderer. Several other innocent people have been taken hostages by the madman, who has barricaded himself inside. When Laura Harris, a scholar in San Francisco, finds out, she rushes to the hospital to investigate. Why? The man responsible for the bloodbath is the well-respected supervisor of the hospital and also her father.
Time is not on Laura's side, however, as she only has two hours to navigate the shifting realities of the hospital, overcome the challenges in her path, and try to solve the most sinister puzzle of all: the reason why her quiet father turned into this bloodthirsty monster.

Explore a hospital drenched in blood and discover the dark forces that guide your father's killing hand in D: The Game, DRM-free on GOG.com.

IAmSinistar: Yes, I got the HD collection as well. The voice acting as acceptable, and I'd be fine if they needed to do it again to release SH1. The first four of those (up to Apartment), along with the original Fatal Frame trilogy, are my favourite survival horror games.
Not sure if you're joking or actually forgot that it's called "The Room". :D

And man, will finally have to check out Fatal Frame, have been intrigued by it ever since I heard about it. At least I finally got Siren: Blood Curse for PS3 which was actually created by the main creator of the original Silent Hill (in case you didn't know). That's one game that really needs a PC port because whenever you use the series' flagship feature (seeing through the eyes of the enemies, has some neat name which I don't remember) performance drops to practically unplayable levels.

IAmSinistar: If GOG is working alphabetically through the old titles to release, then I dearly hope the next one is D/Generation.

Grargar: If they manage to pry it from EA's hands.
Damn, I knew there was a snag in my grand master plan.

Celton88: Is D game only 2 hours long? That's what D D scription says.
That means it will last in bed quite long.
I still have my long box playstation version and overall the FMVs look better than the DOS version, so I guess I'll skip that one, but it's nice to see Kenji Eno's D (oh dear...) getting some well deserved attention.
I've been wanting to play this game for a while. No idea there was a PC version out there.
Thanks so much GOG!

As I have an original PC Box of this one, I just wanted to offer to help you out... but this is good too ;)
I'll check if I have anything else in the box (I bought it wrapped in original plastic wrapper bubble so it's a complete package).

Thanks so much GOG!
Plus, it's a classic japanese pc re-release so more cheers, I guess! :)
And Mac/Linux. Just amazing.
Really looking forward to giving this one a shot. First saw it thanks to Supergreatfriend's extensive Let's Plays of D, D2 and Enemy Zero.
Didn't think I'd get a chance to play it myself.

Oh hai Mark! ;P

Yes, I did forget the actual title. Thanks for the correction. Damn creepy game. And also thanks for the reminder of Siren, that was good but glitchy, and I agree it could use a solid PC port.

As for Fatal Frame (aka Project Zero), definitely start with the first if you can. It is subtle and eerie in so many ways, in addition to being outright terrifying at times. And the game mechanic pretty much forces you to face the horror in order to succeed. My kinda fun. :)

Let's hope so.
Good release!
First time I hear about his. The premise sounds pretty interesting, and the upcoming addition of the manual is very much appreciated; sounds like we may need it more than we think.

Do I understand it correctly that one has literally only 2hrs to get to the bottom of the mystery, and no save options to take a breath?
Sounds pretty stressing, if not outright brutal. Not enough to keep me away though, but will have to go on the wishlist for now.
