On a search for the D.

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, a quirky adventure game from the creators of Deadly Premonition, is available for Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com with a 10% launch discount.

From the peculiar mind of Hidetaka Suehiro (or just Swery65), the brains behind 2010's Deadly Premonition, comes D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, an even more unusual adventure (with a solid PC release!). It all starts as the story of a man with a very strange fate. A man on a tireless search for his wife's killer. A man who can never forget "Look for D.", her last words. And a man who just happens to travel back in time. It's a particular world made all the more particular by the fact that maybe you can't trust your broken mind completely - so when your roommate/grocery shopper cat-lady friend busts into the room just to spit a mouse into your mouth, you may start to wonder. You may have to puke first. But then you may start to wonder. D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is a unique adventure game set in a detailed and lovingly crafted universe that would be a pleasure just to observe.

You can pick up the Special Edition (or just upgrade later on) to receive the Base Game and all of the following:
- D4: Special Costume Set (12 Beers) DLC
- D4: Special Art Book
- D4: Season One Voice Over Script
- D4: Mini Soundtrack

D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 10% launch discount will last for one week, until Friday, June 12, at 10:59 PM GMT.
A very nice release, thanks!
Bought the game to support the release. I can't wait to play it.
I am so glad this game is getting coverage, I am still waiting for the other episodes!
I have to say I have this game on console and found it a really great experience.
It reminds me a lot of an anime with interesting concepts and funny parts not to mention cat girls haha

It's great that it is now on PC, hopefully this will help with a second season getting released soon :D
Nice, will buy the special edition once it down to the price that the regular edition currently got! (otherwise, I would only buy the regular version -> no loss for the dev)
Wouldn´t be able to play it right now due to lack of time anyways!
WTF is this ?

GOG.com: snip....
WOW, totally unexpected!!! GOG is really on a roll lately, instabought!

Now if you guys could fix the forum and the website, that would be also appreciated ;)
Achievement support for Galaxy?
Wow! Number one on 'Popular new releases' on Steam.
Good, maybe there is hope for Season 2!

So is this related to D?

I guess D2 and D3 can't be released, they are console only? D2 appears to be Dreamcast-only?

I've played the first D game a bit on PC, didn't play very far though.

EDIT: Actually, there is no D-3, right? I think I have the second game in series too (Enemy Zero), I bought the Windows version in some store without really knowing what it is. They were selling it for a couple of euros, so why not?

I thought you were just joking lol

The name D4 is just short for the title "Dark Dreams Don't Die"

D4 is not related to the D series by Kenji Endo:

Xbox Wire: Does the title reference Kenji Eno's D series at all? Were you friends with Mr. Eno?

Swery65: Unfortunately, D4 has nothing to do with the D series. I apologize to everyone who was expecting something interesting there. However, as the third Swery original, D4 was created from scratch and loaded with hot passion. I’m sure you’ll like it, so please try it out. I Love You All!

If it's in the vein of Deadly Premonition, you will have the same sentiment while you're playing it with additional shots of stendhal syndrome.
This looks really good! Will be bought as soon as my bank account had some kind of recover...

No, but thanks for the clarification. So this is not a sequel to anything blaa blaa blaa, the number is there only for a dramatic effect. Gotcha.
This looks really nice. Will definitely pick up the base game at some point.
