It might be a great game.

Just, a bit worried that it seems here is only a quest for chaos here. A bit like an intelectual Redneck Rampage.

It might work for those who need a bit more chaos in their lives. Or for a part of diehard Lovecraft fans.

In Lovecraftian, Mythos lore, some opposed to chaos and what the Mythos represent, strove a balance by learning about the Mythos and risking sanity, health and physical integrity in order to better counter the enemies of humankind. That might be a worthwhile path to explore.

Anyway, all the best for this game. Alexis Kennedy has proved himself to be a master game maker.

On the game page it says "Perpetual Edition will be removed from sale, NEVER TO RETURN, This offer expires June 7th, 6pm UTC". That is another word for pre-order exclusives?

I checked the game page and I interpret it as: "Buy now, to get all future DLC and extra content for free". Anyone who buys it later will have to buy future add-ons separately. That's what it looks like to me, anyhow. Also, the offer is good for another week, so you get the chance to read some reviews and don't have to buy it blindly. Certainly better than the usual pre-order schemes.

I sure hope so but you never know these days. Yeah, I'll wait for a couple days to see what it's like and all that. It looks interesting but I want to be sure what I'm getting if I decide to wait.

Yup, that's what it means. There are Alexis Kennedy's blog posts/interviews out there where he says (paraphrased), "kickstarter tiers and alpha this and preorder that are a major pain in the ass for everyone involved, there'll be just one kickstarter/preorder tier - the Perpetual Edition. Also, we'll close early access eventually for dev reasons, so everyone who hears about the game in the interim but is unable to throw money at us will still be able to get the benefits of preordering by instabuying on release (as opposed to waiting for a sale)". So that's it.

Googling about Cultist Simulator I've encountered some allegations about Alexis Kennedy being well known (within industry) for his predatory behaviour towards females. Not like it change my attitude towards the game, but it got me more interested than game right now. Anyone have any info about this? I'd love some juicy drama.
