Dead on arrival

Corpse Party, a spooky adventure about the occult backfiring on some meddling teenagers, is now available with GOG Galaxy support for achievements and statistics, DRM-free on GOG.com.

High school is where teenager shenanigans usually reach the peak of self-endangering recklessness. And when a magic charm accidentally transfers a group of friends to the ghostly past of Heavenly Host Elementary, they've only got themselves to blame for their misfortune. But fortunately for us, we get to follow them through a series of gruesome happenings, otherworldly interactions, sinister puzzles, and gut-wrenching decisions. The story features multiple endings, as plentiful as the various iterations of this horror cult-classic which now gets its definitive PC edition, full of reworked assets and enriched story elements.

Here's your blood-stained invitation for a macabre but curiously intriguing Corpse Party, DRM-free on GOG.com. Please bring your own body parts.

BadDecissions: Totally unexpected, but very welcome, albeit I already own it on Vita, and can't really justify a $15 purchase for unspecified "PC-Exclusive Content."

'Dead on arrival' seems like an unfortunate phrase to use to describe a little-known game released during a sale.

I hope you prove me wrong, Corpse Party.
I hope Corpse Party is successful enough to make GOG more interested in getting more visual novels.
I'll buy it at a high price
Wow! Nice to see another Japanese game makes its way to here. Thanks GOG! Wishlisted for now. Too many stuffs on my hands at the moment. So many great games to play, so little time...

So, what about the uncensored version of Knights of Xentar? It`s a japanese game and a classic!

omega64: You'd know if it wasn't this one. :P
Book of Shadows is sort of a point and click instead of this.
Blood Drive is pretty recent and has chibi characters.
Ah well I just remembered it being part of a series.
I played it when it came out.

Exceed20XX: Hopefully Xanadu Next gets that same attention since I've held out on importing it for so long already.

Oh wow, for some reason, I never saw that picture (or I might have forgotten, I guess). It's awesome to see that all of Marvelous USA's PC releases will be coming to GOG, even the titles one wouldn't expect. This only serves as further confirmation that their GOG releases have paid off, which I'm happy to see. =)

I guess you could say all of this is.....marvellous. XD

Agreed. I am in favour of GOG's curation, but they should be subjecting games to the same standards regardless of genre. While we can't know for certain, I strongly dislike the indications that they've been giving entire genres (like shmups and VNs) the cold shoulder. I understand their need as a business to prioritise more lucrative releases and to consider opportunity costs, but they're leaving money on the table by neglecting entire types of games. Plus, they can only benefit from diversifying their portfolio.

That said, I'm optimistic. As shown with HuniePop, GOG is relatively responsive and does pay attention to the desires of their customers. As long as they maintain such an attitude, I'm sure they will eventually change their treatment of VNs as well.
Aw heck yea, more japanese games! ╰(✧∇✧)╯

There are 3 other games, 2 of those have been translated.
The other one won't be translated as they don't see a romance game based on a horror series getting much interest. :P
Definitely play Book of Shadows.
It contains some alternate scenarios and a final chapter as sequel to this one.

Edit: I wanted to PM you about it, get an error when I try. :(

I forgot about Corpse Party 2, I guess that might get a translation eventually.
It's already on PC.

I wish Senran Kagura was the Boobs vs Zombies game.
That's Oneechanbara.
Senran Kagura is Boobs vs Boobs.

I wonder if LKS is the Wii or Vita version.
