Dead on arrival

Corpse Party, a spooky adventure about the occult backfiring on some meddling teenagers, is now available with GOG Galaxy support for achievements and statistics, DRM-free on GOG.com.

High school is where teenager shenanigans usually reach the peak of self-endangering recklessness. And when a magic charm accidentally transfers a group of friends to the ghostly past of Heavenly Host Elementary, they've only got themselves to blame for their misfortune. But fortunately for us, we get to follow them through a series of gruesome happenings, otherworldly interactions, sinister puzzles, and gut-wrenching decisions. The story features multiple endings, as plentiful as the various iterations of this horror cult-classic which now gets its definitive PC edition, full of reworked assets and enriched story elements.

Here's your blood-stained invitation for a macabre but curiously intriguing Corpse Party, DRM-free on GOG.com. Please bring your own body parts.
New release? Nice!
Didn't expect to see this here. What a pleasant surprise! I love story games, and the mixture of horror is right up my alley. Thanks, I'll pick it up when I can.
I didn't expect it to come here.
I already have it on PSP and PSV, but I'll buy it here too in case my handhelds break someday.

Is this game stand alone?
I really didn't expect this, not too soon anyway, thank you GOG!

It is, it's the first in the series.

Wishlisted. Thanks.
This having regional pricing made me think a bit longer. Looked at this version and the one on Steam.. as well as the one coming to 3DS ( this summer, I think? ).

PC has an extra chapter ( and apparently much more to the chapter ) than the version on the 3DS. The sprites will be different on 3DS, iirc.

3DS will have a few chapters extra that the PC version doesn't have. The core game itself and the story told will be on all versions but others are extra chapters that lead into the next game.

While I don't agree quite with Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for the price tag because nothing of it is changed or fixed, I think this might have a bit more value even with the regional pricing.

I may very well end up getting the 3DS version, but right now.. I'll grab this one.

Really happy to see some good games coming out. <3

Do note the extra chapters on 3ds aren't voiced.
I definitely recommend playing either that or the PSP version after this one due to the CG's.

Ah, thanks! I don't have a PSP so guess that means 3DS for me. :P

I guess it does. :P

Exceed20XX: Hopefully Xanadu Next gets that same attention since I've held out on importing it for so long already.

omega64: I wish the Ys Vita game was translated on PC.

Grargar: Fixed that for you. The game is available on PC, but only in Chinese.
Haha yeah I can last, though I guess I wouldn't mind a physical copy still as a collector's thing of sorts.

I forgot that they had Little King's Story, I was thinking Konami for a second due to the Vita one. I also wondered briefly if Senran would be DRM-free. It seems safe to say that anything under Xseed's banner will have a DRM-free version from this point on. Oddly, I wonder why they didn't list Humble as well since XSeed has done DRM-free + Steam Key sales on there as well.

jamesbuc: So... this isnt seen as niche while the Cave shumps were rejected as being too niche?

Okay...

Also this is just a weird version to be using given the PSP/Vita ports.
This. Dozens of good games rejected for being "too niche", but apparently RPG-maker corpse party (inb4 fans will attack me for it's being a good game - LISA, great RPG maker game was rejected because of crappy RPG maker) is a super popular title.

Totally unexpected, but very welcome, albeit I already own it on Vita, and can't really justify a $15 purchase for unspecified "PC-Exclusive Content."
