Relive the real-time tactics masterpiece that defined the genre. Commandos 2 - HD Remaster is now available on GOG.COM thanks to the efforts of Kalypso Media Digital. Take control of an elite group of commandos who must venture deep into enemy territory and utilize their combined expertise to complete a series of notoriously demanding missions set in WW2.

Until 31st January 2020, 2 PM UTC, Commandos 2 - HD Remaster is available on GOG.COM with a 15% discount. You can also acquire the game in a special pack along with Praetorians - HD Remaster.

As for the removal of the Japanese "Rising Sun" flag - to not offend the Chinese overlords, possibly maybe?

Uncensored original version of Commandos 2 is still available together with Commandos 3 and both together are cheaper than the discounted Commandos 2 HD...

The censorship is more important, but I must also ask: the gamecard features non-English audios, but the original Commandos 2+3 GOG release is still English only, is GOG ever gonna include non-English voices for those?

I am going to have to vote with my wallet on this one. I own the originals on GOG and they work great. Even at a discount this remaster is not worth the money let alone the full price. The censorship is a joke and frankly disrespectful to those who lost their lives in the WWII. Although this is a game, these acts of courage actually happened and should be remembered and not be modified to tick a box for political convenience or correctness.
