The (cater)pillars of heavy-metal warfare.

<span class="bold">Codename: Panzers Phase I</span>, and <span class="bold">Phase II</span>, the acclaimed duo of RTSs where you command heavy artillery while entangled in historical WWII battles, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 40% launch discount. Buying both will grant you a 60% completionist discount.

As kids, playing with toy cannon-cars™ was usually the pinnacle of our accurate reenactment of human warfare. Because tanks can go anywhere, blast through anything, and withstand terrible amount of punishment. The same holds true for their digital counterparts that are tasked with changing the tide of war with real-time strategic moves in iconic WWII scenarios.

Codename: Panzers: Phase I and Codename: Panzers: Phase II let you control infantry and artillery units as you alternate between three opposing factions right in the middle of Stalingrad, Berlin, El Alamein, and even Monte Cassino. Take the reins of war from renowned commanders like Hans Von Gröbel, Aleksander Efremovich Vladimirov, Dario DeAngelis, and Farvan "Vuk" Pondurovik, crush the enemy forces, and relive their greatest victories. It was the dawn of a new era, ushered by roaring, strategic canon-blasts that still echo today.

Manage and position your menacing machines of war in authentic WWII battlefields as you command the <span class="bold">Codename: Panzers Phase I</span> and <span class="bold">Phase II</span>, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 40% launch discount and the 60% completionist discount will last until February 25, 3:59 PM GMT.
Nice release. I had the game since release but I didn't play it all that much. It's completely fine and all, but the game mechanics rub me the wrong way for some reason.

astrugar710: How do you get the 60% completionist discount? If I buy the games saparately I see 40% discount and the second option is buy series, which has both games, for 40% discount as well. I do not see 60% discount anywhere.
Buy series gives 60% off here. Weird, must be some bug. Quickly, someone step on it! :P

I noticed that myself (see the post above yours). The full discount should show up in your cart and on the checkout page. : )
Has anyone tried these games yet? Is there a Skirmish mode in either one?
Tactical game and active pause that sounds interesting. Unfortunately I lose the 60% discount when I first try out one of the games.

So what is the difference between the games? Only the location of the battles? And is it worth to get both of them?

Put them both in the cart and checkout.

I too need to know this!
Also can you play skirmish coop against the AI?

Got it. Thank you guys for the reply!
So, we are still missing Cold War and the Rush for Berlin/Rush for the Bomb.

Nice. Now, if Deep Silver agrees to provide the Rush part of the series, we are set.
I have wonderful memories of this games (I have somewhere CD Codename: Panzers: Phase II) and Phase II was special because I could play as a partisan (Yugoslav) campaign (my country was part of Yugoslavia), and to my knowledge this is the only RTT/RTS or FPS game where is possible to play that State/Nation (perhaps some hexagonal grid game?). Also we rarely see Axis allies: Italy, Romania and Hungary or Allies: Australia and Canada, in WW II games we always playing as Germany, Japan, the Soviet Union, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

phaolo: Wait, a developer tag with colored text?
Did Gog maybe listen to my suggestion? :P
(not very probable, actually)

Hey I missed that.

Dear Nordic Team. Keep them coming. Much appreciated.

P.S.: Any chance to get from Deep Silver the rest of the Stormregion's titles, so all the series would be in your able hands?
