The (cater)pillars of heavy-metal warfare.

Codename: Panzers Phase I, and Phase II, the acclaimed duo of RTSs where you command heavy artillery while entangled in historical WWII battles, is available now DRM-free on GOG.com, with a 40% launch discount. Buying both will grant you a 60% completionist discount.

As kids, playing with toy cannon-cars™ was usually the pinnacle of our accurate reenactment of human warfare. Because tanks can go anywhere, blast through anything, and withstand terrible amount of punishment. The same holds true for their digital counterparts that are tasked with changing the tide of war with real-time strategic moves in iconic WWII scenarios.

Codename: Panzers: Phase I and Codename: Panzers: Phase II let you control infantry and artillery units as you alternate between three opposing factions right in the middle of Stalingrad, Berlin, El Alamein, and even Monte Cassino. Take the reins of war from renowned commanders like Hans Von Gröbel, Aleksander Efremovich Vladimirov, Dario DeAngelis, and Farvan "Vuk" Pondurovik, crush the enemy forces, and relive their greatest victories. It was the dawn of a new era, ushered by roaring, strategic canon-blasts that still echo today.

Manage and position your menacing machines of war in authentic WWII battlefields as you command the Codename: Panzers Phase I and Phase II, DRM-free on GOG.com. The 40% launch discount and the 60% completionist discount will last until February 25, 3:59 PM GMT.

Matruchus: Thanks for the news :) What about Supreme Commander?
Yes, please bring SupCom to GOG!
Love the era and look of these, but I rather go turn-based then real time. I won't add these to the backlog at this point.
I love the orange font color, I assume it's exclusive for developers. Never heard of the Codename Panzers series, but seeing as its some sort of RTT/RPG combo, there's a good chance I'll try this out. I have never liked any game that is based in the real world, but a tactics game might be enough to make me try it out.
Erm... 15 bucks for games that have been released over 10 years ago??
Great addition to the GOG catalogue!

Both games are super-fun and gameplay-wise - these were two best tactical WWII games until Company of Heroes showed up in 2006. Awesome campaigns, interesting scenarios and multiple tactic options definitely make them worth playing.

The price seems a little bit steep though - I'll pick it on sale then :)

I still remember my Phase Two camo T-shirt which was included in Polish boxed version :-)

ThomNG: Enjoy these releases :)

Codename Panzers: Cold War is already in preparation and will come soon!

Your Nordic Games Team
Really? Wow, this is good news!

Thank you Nordic! :)
Insta bought, but why is there no soundtrack on GOG? It's available on steam :(
However, the pricing is a bit step for such an old game.

Don't whine about the price, its spot on.We need to appreciate every big release like this,soo...*throws wallet at screen and waits for download* :D.Thank you Nordic and GOG for these awesome games.Cheers.
I remember I've played a lot in both these games once upon a time. It's in some way spiritual "successor" of SWINE (by the way - have hope that we'll see SWINE on GOG too), but with more "stuff" inside, and of course set in World War II (Phase Two is especially interesting, because it's showing some less "famous" and exploated in movies areas, like Yugoslavia). For me it was far more enjoyable title than Soldiers; Heroes of World War II. Challenging, but not so hardcore and unforgiving (however, these two representing different gameplay style, so I'm just saying that I liked more style of Swine/Codename: Panzers).
Does either game have a Skirmish mode?
Cool wishlisted, more serious RTS ala CoH is always nice.

Actually its a RTT game not RTS (again mislabeled by gog) like Company of Heroes but it does have similar tactical combat.
It's good to see that GOG is still releasing old games from time to time.

Fortunately those Codename: Panzers games are absolutely not my cup of tea so my wallet is safe. :D
Nice games (although I like DRvsAK more), I have them both on disc, but they are way too expensive. Both together for 14.99 would be acceptable in my opinion.
