Join journalist Rose Archer who enters Helios in search of her sister and quickly discovers that not all is as it seems…

Until 12th May, 2 PM UTC, Close to the Sun and Deliver Us The Moon games receive a 25% discount on GOG.COM. If you already own Deliver Us The Moon or decide to buy both mentioned titles from Wired Productions the discount on Close to the Sun will rise to 35%, also until 12th May, 2 PM UTC.
This here is a missed opportunity the game. It has so many promising elements in it, but which are ultimately not really cashed in. Here's a review I made of it a while back: https://playernone.blogspot.com/2020/01/close-to-sun-2019.html
Close to the Sun is still showing as "Coming soon" for me.

Yes, Apparently we are not that close to the sun yet.
Close to the Sun (standard) is showing as Coming Soon, with a blue Notify Me button.

Close to the Sun (Digital Deluxe) is showing as Purchasable with a green Add to Cart button.

Edit: For me...

Edit: Seems to be corrected now... Yay! :)

Having played this recently I partly agree with your review. However the game in the end is basically a walking simulator with some escape sequences attached and imo it does not want to be any more. Some things are not explained clearly and up for interpretation. Depending on that interpretation the ending could serve as a cliffhanger as well as a closing ....

In general I enjoyed playing the game and imo it looks fantastic. There's however one thing I hated. Depending on the performance the escape sequences will get harder since it seems as if the enemys are still running even though your character is moving slower because of the performance. I ended up turning the resolution down whenever a chase sequence occured and managed to escape much easier which imo proves my suspicion that it is part of the programming. I was running the game on a i7 and GTX1060 so this should not have been problematic at all.

I Know it was FREE on EPIC... I created an account there just for this game on Linux via Lutris...
To play this game without that bloatware is evolution.

About the price, the game has regional pricing.

As it has been said - even on Epic you were able to play it afterwards without this bloatware (I guess you are referring to the Epic client). But I don't want to advertize Epic or their client it's just fyi.

FYI PROSPECTIVE BUYERS!

There is no key rebinding implemented in those games. Non-qwerty users be damned, I guess.

Gonna need to do a LOT better than 25% off to interest me after that year of Epic exclusivity. Especially considering it was being given as a freebie over there recently.

That's where I got it.
