I was getting this confused with Omerta: City of Gangsters.
Those are some pretty serious shaving injuries. The city must only have one barber, with a rusted, jagged razor.
Thanks SomaSim! Been waiting for this. Sad it wasn't a day1 simultaneous release, but *cart*.
Looks fun.

Wishlisted!
Someday I will actually play Omerta.
Is there reason game's with these graphics can't have civilians walking around the city? I notices this in Rise of Industry and Smart City Plan.

Does it add meaningfully to the game to be worth the cost? Such things are notorious for people singling out for bugs and "haha looks bad" if it's not perfect for when actors spawn and unspawn and what they do while they're out. It's also a significant increase in performance and storage needs. What's wrong with budget titles that focus on gameplay?

Most the time these game's have very little content and shallow game play. So little more detail to make the City look more alive wouldn't be a bad thing. imo

GOG.com: Release: City of Gangsters
Two things that I find slightly off-putting:

- the low poly graphics style (takes alot away from the feeling that I seek in such games: playing a miniaturized version of (a part of) the world), and
- the preset limit in play time (1920 - 1933).

Now, in some games low poly doesn't concern me, but here I'd have preferred a more detailed portayal of the world.
And maybe there is a free play mode contained in the game, but the game card doesn't mention it, so...

You can keep playing after 1933, you just don't rack up any more endgame points or achievements for that playthrough.

That's good to know. Thank you!

You're judging the game before you even play it.....

Remember when demon barber actually have razor sharp razor and clean cut both hair and life? Pepperidge farm remember, unless Todd slit his throat too.

I'm fine with the aesthetic, but...

... with Gangsters, Omerta, and Empire of Sin...

... I'm uncertain what makes this game stand out for purchase?

And TBH I wish there was a an actual combat mechanic... although that's more of a personal taste issue.

Despite the similar name, this game seems at least to be quite different from Omerta...
...Empire of Sin isn't on GOG (don't know how similar it is)...
...and Gangsters: Organized Crime seems to be not working well on modern system.
A demo would be nice.
