Game looks awesome.

Anyone have any idea how big the "map" is? Please don't tell me how manys cities (I want to be surprised when I grab it ;) ) just an idea of "pretty big" or "basically just what you see in the trailer / screenshot map" would be fine.

I think I like the idea of a larger world than what's shown in the screens, but it won't be a deal breaker.
To my surprise the trailer doesn't say much - is it on purpose they keep the gameplay so mysterious? What are the challenges (are there turn-based battles)?
Most important part is left out:

screen resolution : !

Will it run on 17inch CRT monitor at 1024x768 ?

recommended:

Processor: 2.7 GHz Dual Core CPU > i have quad core 2.67
Memory: 4 GB RAM > 8 GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6670, GeForce GT 445M or better > GTS 250 1GB

nvm , i bought it........... 1280 is what i can run ....

when windowed there is a problem: the info windows have no solid background they are transparent, this makes the text is very hard to read.. maybe the devs needs to check on that and maybe adapt it.

check attachment: windowed_1280.jpg.

So far the game is intresting, you have to read quite some text, but as far as i have seen the game looks very good....

Been wanting to try this one for some time on another platform. Glad to see it come to GOG.com so now I'll have to get it here!
Would very much like some opinions on this one from people who've put at least a couple of hours into it.
high rated
So, after several hours I'm enjoying it more than I thought. It reminds me of another Daedalic game, Blackguards. Especially the map, which by the way is pretty big, and seems like in every chapter next part of the map opens up, just like in Blackguards. There are different random encounters while travelling, some you can avoid, some you can't. Trading is nicely done, there are about six types of wares and in every city or town, varying from extremely cheap to invaluable. So basically you try to buy low and sell high.
There are some quests, usually bring person/item to another location or find person/item (so far). Rewards in experience, money, items, wares...
Haggling and fighting (no strategical or tactical combat) is done by a little minigame, in short its numbers, some luck and some thinking. Basically rock-paper-scissors meets dice. Quite enjoyable.
RPG factor: hiring "heroes" of different classes (rogue, merchant, sage, scout...) of different levels and skills, gaining experience and levels, using skills, questing-lite etc...
It's more complex game than it seemed, but in good way. All in all, nice pleasant surprise.
Looks a lot like that Android game Tales of Illyria. I loved that one, so I think this might be for me too!
Love the style of the artwork. Seems like it'd be a deep game too. Noice.
Concept interested me, but after reading a few negative reviews from the game page it seems it could be a bit repetitive and not compelling enough.

Might just wait for a good special. Shame I kind of have a thing for Arabian themes at the moment. Saw the Aladdin musical which I enjoyed.

Dont make funny of me, you dont know why i use a CRT screen, its no because of $ or Euros.
More people arent able to use flatscreens, plasmascreens, and all new screens, its also includes CRT screens but they do tell that some settings on modern screens might be a cause.

For me CRT is the best way to watch from all monitors, no LCD, plasma, or any modern screen for me.

Do you know this site ? Yor are UK resident so you should know of it's existence, but i guess you don't considerin the sad way you replied and are making a funny of it.

Read this before making any smart and funny remarks.
