Caesar™ IV, a pinnacle of city-building strategies set in ancient times, is now available, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Rome wasn't built in a day, you know, and neither were the Roman aqueducts which are still subjects of study and praise by many a scholar. The same is true for the majestic structures they left behind, which still stand proud all across Europe. Want to know how they managed to erect these marvels of the ancient world? Assume control of the economy, planning, building, and managment of Roman settlements in challenging scenarios set during the Kingdom, Republic, and Empire eras, and watch your humble village grow to become a sprawling ancient metropolis. Even back then, people were very concerned with public services, hygiene, spectacles, and overall quality of life, so it's up to you to balance the complex needs of your citizens with the realities of city management, if you want to be remembered more as a Marcus Aurelius and less as a Nero.

Plan, build, and sustain a Roman metropolis that could stand the test of time in Caesar™ IV, DRM-free on GOG.com.

fronzelneekburm: It warms my heart to see one of ye olde Sierra IPs making a comeback!

Branais: Not sure this counts as one of those. Wasn't Caesar IV done by Tilted Mill? So, from the same stable as Children of the Nile.
True, but the game was still published by Sierra in 2006, so I say it still counts. :-)

I liked both Caesar III and Children of the Nile, so definitely putting this one on the wishlist. But more importantly, it's good to see Activision diving into their back catalogue again and releasing games on Gog! Now if only they could be convinced to bring more true Sierra games here from the 80s and 90s, soooooo many games still missing (Laura Bow, Freddy Pharkas, Earthsiege/Starsiege, Missionforce Cyberstorm, Heart of China, Rise of the Dragon, ManHunter, Conquest of Camelot & Conquest of the Longbow, the Dr. Brain series, and on and on and on, ...)
Now we need Emperor: Rise of the Middle Kingdom and we're all good.
Great release, haven't played it yet but I think I'll pass for now because Torchlight II happened and I can't put my summer nights & night sleep in more danger than it is now. Off to read some reviews about it. :)
Very nice to see this game here on GOG! I'll definitely have it on top of my wishlist.

True, its always nice if they continue games we like but often they decide to drop the game after a few games in the series have been released, but its always better to have them then to wait for games that will never come, i'd rather own 3 or 4 games of a series then owning none cause the games wont arrive.
Its 3d , so i skip on it.
Hooray! More Activision games! Hopefully they'll release some more games, I'm sure I'm not the only one itchin' for more from them.
Awesome to see more from Activision!
What was best in Caesar III now in 3D.
Thank you GOG.

Thanks for the info!
Looks like Activision didn't want us to celebrate the 4-year Activision-less anniversary in October, nice!
Another one off of SCPM's list.

They already cancelled the plans for the anniversary 1 month ago. ;)
